Comment: OHMYGOODNESS! Everything is SOO wonderful! The stocking itself is adorable, all fuzzy and leopard print and polkadots! I love the pink boodle matchbox, the perfect new home for my writing pen nibs. *giggle* Then, not one, not two, but 3 altered tins! The NYC shrine is my fave, it makes my heart happy! I love the tin with the awesome postcards, and how you decorated the cover with one, how clever! :D The little Hello Kitty tin is so adorable, I'm going to stick a magnet on it and stick it to the front of my filing cabinet so I can see it and store little cutesy things in it! The atc is gorgeous, she has a happy new home with my other mermaid atcs! And, lastly, all the bits and bobs! Art pens, atc sleeves (ALWAYS need those!), and lots of doodads, that I will of course use! THANK YOU SOOOO much April! If I could give you a dozen stars I would! This stocking made my Christmas so much more fun! *hugs*

I liked the fun postal facts, and I'm thinking that I really ought to get a brayer, too. So nice and smooth! (I want to know where you found the postcard back stamp, too. I've looked for one at the local stores, but haven't found any that I like. Yours is great!)

I had fun trying to figure out what to do, and when I saw the 50's postman graphic I had to go with it...and for sure get yourself a brayer, I love mine! my mom got me the postcard stamp backing from oriental trading (I think) but I have tried to look for it and can't find another one...if I do I will let you know! :) happy new year...

Comment: My Cheerios box arrived today. Yayyyyy! Your pages are so pretty (as well as loaded with heartfelt sentiments). I love the pockets and embellishments, and your style in general. I find it interesting how even though we have had similar experiences, and follow the same theme, we come up with such different looking pages. My Christmas prezzies have been tucked under the tree (the first ones) and I can't wait to open them.
I am so glad we are exchanging our "cancer sucks" pages---I know it's good for both of us.

Comment: Thank you for the card and all the awesome things you did to it. Can you please tell me how you made the stuff you inserted. Also how to you get that fancy tape you used on the envelope...sorry for picking your brain but I just LOVE how you did everything.
Response: it is paper that you can sand so one side of the paper was aqua and one was brown, I used an embossing folder and ran it through a big shot then when the paper was embossed I used sandpaper to make the aqua come out...the 'tape' on the front is the same thing, that I ran through my Xyron sticker machine and put on the envie HOPING it would stay on :)...I will try to find a link to the paper and PM you...my local scrapbooking store has it...I am so glad you liked it! I can't just send a card out without altering it...oh and I used gold glitter ribbon/tape on the front of the card...

Comment: I have yet to master the embossign technique though I find it intriguing. You must tell me where you got the Postcard rubber stamp! I must acquire one for my collection, lol
Response: yeah, I find embossing frustrating half the time...I am not sure where I got the postcard stamp, MAYBE my mom got it for me a few years ago for Christmas from oriental trading? it is a clear stamp, and I really like how it adds to a handmade PC...I had the PC all made and then re-read the swap and saw it had to be FALL themed (not sure how I missed it) so I added the leaves, and the word fall (on the leaves I used brown nail art polish, I love using them because they have the TINY brushes, and the polish has a good shine to it, although the smell is something a bit much)

Comment: April, this was an amazing photo journal! First off, I LOVED how you used a typical little photobook but you totally transformed it into almost a mini scrap book. Pretty awesome idea!!! I like how you took pictures of a broad range of subjects. The little birds made me laugh, their beaks seems way to huge for their little faces. ha ha! Thanks again!!!

Response: sorry! the hotdog was just an extra I didn't glue it on i just thought it went well with the fire but I didn't use it because it was SO big so I made a marshmallow instead...glad you liked it...i am enjoying the challenge of trying to find words to go with the letters that I can actually depict.
