Response: Thank you Anicka! So appreciate the nice comment, and the heart!
Response: Aww, I'm so glad to bring back happy vacation memories. I don't remember my childhood trip to PEI, but my parents speak fondly of it. Thanks for the heart!
Response: I'm so glad that you got them, and that you love the ATC's! I love seeing one less "flaked swap" on your profile. Well, it was still flaked, but you know what I mean ...
Response: Yay! I'm glad that you liked it, I love making people smile and especially those who have made *ME* smile! The little piggy is a rubber stamp, and then I filled it in with a "puffy" gel pen. I like the effect, but they are a little bit expensive!
Response: Yay, I'm glad that they got there so quickly! I was trying to find different themes/likes from your profile to use this time - was glad to have the supplies on hand to make these work. Love making you smile!
Response: Oh, I am so glad! You were so brave to "put your order in" sight unseen! They *were* nice things, just not my style. So glad they found the right home!
Response: Thank you so much! LOL - I haven't used coffee instead of paint to make rings on my paper - it would be a waste of perfectly good coffee! And I'm glad you liked the envelope - I did too :-)
Response: Hey, I had the pink, and I had the orange, and it seemed only natural to put them together for you! I'm glad you liked the ATC's - it was so easy to just make an extra for you with each swap I worked on.
Response: Thank you so much, I'm glad the magnet has found a good home - before putting it up for trade, I briefly considered using it for some kind of altered art piece - but I'm glad it went to you instead. And of course, it's always fun to craft in the french style!
Response: LOL! You mean you two don't share your ATC collections? Thanks for the great swap, the fantastic rating, and the heart!
Response: Yay, I'm so glad they got there and that you like them. Aren't the hand carved ones great - and the rest of the stuff she sent me in that tag package was amazing too! If you ever get a chance to swap with her or tag her, take it - you won't be disappointed. Let me know when you want to do our next private swap :-)
Response: Wow, sounds like you had a busy week! Glad you got some happy mail at the end of it all! Thanks for the heart ...
Response: Thank you so much for the compliment and for the heart - you gave me my 150th one! BTW, I will admit that I made sure appropriately beachy coloured scraps were in my pile before I set myself the challenge to use them for the ATC's in this swap :-)
Response: No, thank you! You have me grinning ear to ear with your lovely rating comment - if you were here right now, I'd hug you! Hope to swap with you again soon!
Response: Thank you so much! Appreciate the heart!
Response: Thank you for the lovely comment, and the extra hearts! I did promise you Fat Albert ... you'll just have to imagine that he's naked, 'cause I wasn't going to try drawing that!
Response: Thank YOU for swapping with me! I'm glad it got to you safely, and that you like it!
Response: Thank you very much for the nice comment, and for the heart!
Response: Thank you for the 5 and the heart! I'm glad you like him ...
Response: Thank you so much for your lovely comment ... I enjoyed making them for you (and was really really happy with how they turned out). Consider myself inspired by you and your profile!
Response: You are very welcome, I had so much fun making them! Appreciate the heart!
Response: Thank you very much, it was a fun swap to do, wasn't it?!?!?
Response: You're very welcome! And thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank YOU for swapping with me! I'm so glad that you like them - I'm on a mission to actually use some of the supplies I keep buying, so using the instrument stickers was a natural choice!
Response: No worries, just glad they got to you. Thanks for the rating and the heart! Would love to see what you make if you end up crafting with them!
Response: And thank you for participating in such a wonderful swap ... wasn't it fun?
Response: Thanks for tracking it down and for the rating! It's good to have things wrapped up, and I'm really glad you liked it!
Response: Thanks for the heart - I'm glad you liked her ... I was really happy with how the postal themed clothing turned out! Now only about a thousand more stamps to use up!
Response: Thank you for the lovely rating - I was determined to get those ink blots to reflect my partners' interests and the creative force was with me :-)
Response: Wonderful! It was fun to try to take a random art form like paint blots and get it to reflect my partners' likes and dislikes. I'm glad you enjoyed yours!
Response: I'm really glad you liked them! Let me know if you end up trying out the technique too - I'd love to see your results!
Response: I'm a little late replying to this, but I was pleased as punch when I first read it! Thanks Leashah! I have such respect for your work that it means a lot to get such wonderful feedback. We will have to do another private swap sometime soon!
Response: Terry, I can't tell you what it means to have you say that ... you've swapped with the best around here, I know. I also loved how the sea turtles turned out - in fact, I think I was able to capture something special (colour, interest, etc) for all my partners. The creative forces were flowing strong that day! Thank you for hosting ...
Response: I'm really glad you liked everything ... have already peeked at your flickr and seen some of "my" beads on there. Will have to do another swap soon!
Response: And now I'm grinning ear to ear, reading your lovely comment here and on my profile comments! The paint drizzling technique is hard to control - you just go for it and hope for the best - but I was *very* happy with how it turned out, and I'm glad that you like it too! Peace!
Response: Thank you, I enjoyed reading your profile and trying to make something just for you - thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I had so much fun doing it, and I had to be very very strict with myself to stop myself from adding too much as the simplicity is the style! I was inspired by the poem on your profile, and your interest in things Asian - since we are having a weirdly early spring, the flower out of season line was perfect to describe the cherry blossoms in my back yard right now!
Response: I'm so glad that you like what I sent, and hope you create many many beautiful things! Thanks for swapping with me!
Response: Thank you, thank you! I am SO glad we did this swap . . . people have made me flamingo things before, but I don't often get to make them for others. And the flamingo "factory" name inspired me to the series. But I especially had fun figuring out how to make the contents be the mail art. There was a lot of hammering and some false starts with those eyelets! P.S. This was my 100th completed swap - Hooray!
Response: Yay! I'm really glad you like it! The inspiration was having bought the "cutie pie" stamp from the $1.50 bin at Michael's, and wanting to call you cutie pie! I especially like how the ice cream turned out - nice for those hot GA summers :-)
Response: Thank you very much, for the comment and the heart! Silly is exactly what I expected too, and I was so pleasantly surprised about how it turned out!
Response: Thanks for the nice rating! I wondered why you had chemistry down as an interest, but was happy as I then knew which book page to use for the base. I saw your black page on your flickr after sending and laughed - ours look a little similar!
Response: Thank you for the heart! I hope you liked my little robot dude, and if you ever feel like doing some laundry, come on over! ;-)
Response: I am very glad that you liked it! I had fun making it for you. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Were we in the same swap? I thought it was the worst swap ever . . . *wink*
Response: Hmm . . . is that someone else's info on the back of your rating though? Are you trying to pass someone else's rating off as your own?
Response: Thanks so much for the compliment, and for the heart! I think *both* of the ATC's you sent me are nicer than the one I sent you though - more creative and unique! Really lovely :-)
Response: So glad that you liked everything! I enjoyed every minute of putting the swap together. Well ... except for fussing with those itty bitty bits of thread to make strings for the balloons! Cheers - to many more happy swaps in the future!
Response: I'm so glad that you like Cherise ... she's a special little pink owl, isn't she? Thanks for the swap and for the heart!
Response: Thanks for the heart! I would be happy to swap again ... let me know when you are ready for a new batch of blanks ...
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Kathy, your rating comment is a delight to me ... thank you, and thank you for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you like it! Thanks for the heart, and thanks for hosting this series!
Response: Yay! I'm glad that you liked it, and I will definitely be watching your forum posts for future swap possibilities, the same way I'm watching my mailbox for my necklace to arrive!
Response: No worries, and thank YOU for the heart! Perhaps a SB glitch erased the rating ...
Response: Thank you for a very nice rating comment! I really liked the envelope journal technique, and since I have a whole box of those envelopes (discards from work), I hope to make more eventually. I was glad that the journal was going to you, and glad it arrived on just the right day :-)
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! The one I received from my partner was bursting full of "memorabilia" and I realized I could have aimed for the "full to bursting" look too, for even more fun. I enjoyed making it for you, Vicky, and as I wrote I had your lovely kind spirit in mind. I look forward to swapping with you again in future.
Response: Thank you so much for the nice comment and the heart! Yes, I think marker shopping may be in my future - there is a Michael's "opening soon" very close to my work! I'm also trying desperately to remember which card I sent you . . . jog my memory?
Response: If you are happy, then I'm happy. Many hearts to you too <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
Response: Thank you so much! I enjoy making them a lot - funny how something so small can be so enticing!
Response: You're welcome! I hope there was enough variety that there would be some your kids would enjoy, and some you would like. Thanks for the heart, and thanks for the swap!
Response: Thank you! I made a pair of kitty ones, and a pair of dog ones, and both my partners liked cats - luckily my other partner also said she likes dogs too! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Actually I think your cut and paste job was amazing! I kind of wished I could just leave them as they were! But thanks for the compliment and the heart!
Response: Aw thanks! I flipped through all my tear mags and books a couple of times waiting for inspiration to strike, and those ears kept signalling to me! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you Jo! I'm glad you liked it all - I was aiming to make you smile, and I'm glad it came on a day you needed it. Good mail karma continues!!!!
Response: Wow, I love the idea of being a "mail art enabler"! Thanks for a great rating comment, I have read it 3 times because it makes me smile!
Response: Thank you, Sandra! I have to rate you too, and I definitely think you did a much better job with finishing it off than I did! But one thing we can agree on is that it was a lot of fun!
Response: Great colours, aren't they? They are just markers, made by PITT - mostly from a packet of "basic" colours, plus a couple I bought separately. Thanks for the lovely rating and the heart!
Response: Don't even try to talk to me about awesome - you totally spoiled me in this swap! I'm glad you like them, but I'm just saying ... I think I owe you!
Response: Thank you so much! Thanks for the heart, and for the Christmas wishes!
Response: So glad it got to you finally - I had started to wonder, but convinced myself to wait a bit before bugging you. I hope that you can make use of the papers, and thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you, dear friend! My heart went into them so I'm glad that you like them!
Response: How ironic that my 100th 5 would be for a re-send. And that a re-send would get to Germany in 3 days when we've waited so long for the swap to arrive. Never mind, the important thing is that you got it and that you like it!
Response: When I read your profile I knew I didn't need to go for just "pretty" but could do art that makes you think. I'm glad that you also thought it was pretty though! And thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you!
I loved it too. The vintage-y look isn't usually my favourite but it turned out pretty much exactly like I pictured it in my head and that is always a thrill.
Response: Thanks for the rating, especially the heart! And thanks for the private message too!
Response: Thank YOU so much! You made my day with your nice comment. I'm so glad that you liked it, and that the purchased items are ones you can use.
Response: You are very welcome! Thanks for the nice comment, and the heart!
Response: You're welcome! I did think it might fall into your "bath book" category. Short themed chapters, light and easy. I hope you enjoy it!
Response: You're so very welcome! I feel the same way about yours.
Response: You're welcome! Thank you for the heart!
Response: Thank you! I really enjoyed the swap, and would love to see pics if you did make journal covers from them.
Response: Thank you, Carol, for the rating, the heart, and your lovely comment. I'm glad you liked it!
Response: Thank you for the nice comment and for the heart. I enjoyed making the ATC for you!
Response: Thank you Kathy! You make me feel a little better about having gone though all my steps twice for the one piece. And you should definitely try the mesh fabric stamping; such a delicate effect but I loved the way it looked!
Response: Oh, I'm really glad that you liked them ... thanks for the heart!
Response: You are too kind ... every item was NOT perfect - my shrink plastic drawing folded in half during the shrink process and hardened all wonky despite my attempts to straighten it. :-( But I'm glad you liked the swap ... I love the amazing postal synchronicity we have going on!
Response: Wow, thank you so much! That makes me feel awesome! I'm so glad you liked it! Hopefully you'll continue in the series of swaps and we can swap again ...
Response: Yay! I'm glad you like it, even if it's not being put to the original intended purpose! Thanks for the 5 and the heart!
Response: Thank you! Your comment really made me smile. I'd like to give you a heart for it <3
Response: Yay! Thank you so very much! I made two TOTALLY different PC's for my partners, and struggled with both of them, but in the end I was fairly happy with how they turned out. So it's a relief to hear that you like yours too!
Response: Terry, that's a great story! I love that I had you flummoxed for a couple of minutes (I also love that I just used the word flummoxed). I haven't received yours yet, but I'm sure it will get here any day now, since I think we sent within a couple of days of each other. Thanks for the fun swap!
Response: Yay! Glad that it got there safely, and that you liked what was on the inside, and what was out. Your evening sounds much like mine - have fun!
Response: I'm glad you liked it, because I've just sent you a violet page too! I've been using book pages for these swaps because I like the feel of them. I have to thank you for having lots of things on your profile for inspiration - I've enjoyed making these art projects for you!
Response: Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!
Response: They are soooo yum! Thanks for rating, and for the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you like it! I worried it wasn't enough paper based for the C & P group, or that all the sead beads would fall off in transit, or . . . but I did try with the colours and going for a vintage feel, so hoped you would like it B-)
Response: Oh, it was! I intended to give it away to someone when I got home, but ended up eating it myself! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Yay! Both have said they've shipped, so I'm sure you're right. While (*boo hoo*) no doubt I will have to wait so long we'll wonder if it's lost! Stupid Canada-US mail service!
Response: Neat how we both picked up on the Eiffel Tower theme, eh? (I can say "eh" to another Canadian without getting laughed at, I hope?) Thanks for the heart, hope to swap with you again in future!
Response: Thanks for the 5 and the heart! That's cool that you live so close to the border. If you ever make it to Toronto, let me know and we'll have our own meet-up!
Response: Thank you for the heart! I enjoyed making the envies, and had a feeling you'd like that image! An old science textbook/workbook page. Some cool illustrations in there!
Response: I'm so glad you like it! It was fun to read a magazine with a view to what someone else would like!
Response: Aww, I love that you have the same nickname as me! Joy is my middle name. I'm also way relieved that you liked the PC - especially the red piece that was so obviously saved from the trash! Not everyone sees the beauty in such things . . .
Response: I'm so sorry to hear that! Will PM you . . . I want to make you a new one! I don't remember the exact design, so it will be different, but hopefully will make it through unscathed this time.
Response: Thanks for rating, and for the heart!
Response: LOL . . . glad you like it, b/c it was a last minute replacement for the first batch I made (completely different theme and different stickers) that didn't turn out great. I couldn't stand to send them out and was glad when inspiration struck!
Response: You're very welcome! I had fun making it - can't wait to put these all together in a book!
Response: Yes, I planned it sooo well to arrive on your birthday, didn't I? LOL! I'm so glad that you liked everything, I've collecting things since right after our last swap ended! I migt have spent as muchbtime on all the extras as on the swap itself!
Response: Thanks Debbie! Glad you liked the ATC and hoping you enjoyed the tea!
Response: I think you are tied for first place in "most thrilling rating comment ever." I really wanted you to like the package, especially because it was your great idea for a swap. Look forward to maybe seeing bits of the old jewellery in other creations! Was yours the envie that I painted and that had stamps ALLLL over it? LOL - they had no larger denominations and I insisted on stamps rather than a printout! I was a bit sad all my painting was being covered up though!
Response: I'm glad you liked it! Love isn't always pink and frilly. Sometimes it's bright and fiery and ... striped!
Response: Yay! I'm glad you all liked what I sent. Hope to see you again swapping!
Response: You're welcome! Sure hope to see you in another swap ...
Response: Well, I would have had a great time with it if I'd joined the swap but since I didn't I decided not to comment on the swap. You must be thinking of someone else . . . maybe Marco?
Response: Yup. Me, my glittery unicorns, and John Cusack. Life is good!
Response: Don't be too jealous ... he snores really loudly!
Response: For sure. I would have joined the swap if it had been less fun.
Response: Yes, but not enough fun. I would have actually joined the swap if it had seemed more fun.
Response: I'm glad you like it and thanks very much for the heart!
Response: You're welcome! And thanks for the heart!
Response: I did choose red on purpose because you have it listed as a pretty colour. But the bottle calls it "barn red." Maybe we should let them know that it is actually "Latvian Red?" :-)
Response: You're very welcome! Thanks for rating, and for the heart!
Response: Thank you very much for the rating and for the heart!
Response: Thank you for the lovely comments and the heart ... and for your understanding! I still can't believe I got so mixed up about what was due out when!
Response: *grin* ... I thought you might like the name at least :-) Thanks for the heart and the nice comments!
Response: Thanks for the heart - I'm so glad that you liked it! I like found poetry almost as much as using the fridge magnet poetry set - I like the structure of having a particular set of words provided to me. Would love to hear about it if you get your students to try it out!
Response: So glad that you like them! There is obviously no rush - I fiddled with the weight to cost ratio at the post office a couple of times (put things in, took other things out) a couple of times until I felt I'd optimized it! Can't wait to see what you choose for me ...
Response: I'm so glad that you liked it, 'cause I enjoyed making it! Thanks for the heart - I will look forward to hearing more about the bees ...
Response: Thanks for all the hearts! That was a fun package to put together ... I just wish my envelope decorating skills were closer to yours!
Response: I agree - more no paper ATC challenges are needed! I used plastic, I got cork, my friend got one made out of fimo clay, you used fabric ... how many other possibilities are there, I wonder??? I'm glad you liked it and I appreciate the heart!
Response: Thanks for the 5 and the heart!
Response: I did a little happy dance to read your comment! I was SO happy with how it turned out and hoped that you would like it! Am so glad I got the chance to send something TO you this time! Especially something with one of my photos! Hugs back!
Response: You're welcome! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You're welcome! I enjoyed making the PC although the process was somewhat ... meandering. Sort of like a butterfly's path, come to think of it!
Response: Thanks for the heart and I'm glad you liked the postcard. Sorry about the snow :-( I think we've officlally got spring here - when I took the dog to the yard this morning, after he did his thing he lay down and rolled around on the grass, basking in the sun! Hope it comes to you soon!
Response: You're welcome! Thanks for the heart!
Response: You are very welcome! I enjoyed making it. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Ooh I almost messaged you yesterday to check on them because my other partner rated a week ago. Postal system is so inconsistent, eh? So glad I held off ... and that they got there safely! Glad you liked them because I had a lot of fun making them. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks for the heart! I hope you do like the teas - Loblaws (a grocery chain) has "no name" products and "President's Choice" and the PC stuff is usually really nice. Maybe we'll be partnered in another tea swap and I can send you more :-)
Response: Thank you! I was so excited about this swap ... I used to work from home and have a LOT of old file folders!
Response: Thanks for the heart, and for answering my question! I had a lot of fun making the ATC's and I'm glad you like them!
Response: Hey, that was pretty fast! Yes, thank you for the swap too ... not only did I get some pretty things to play with in my art, but had the excuse to get some yummy junk food for myself too! Let me know when you're ready for more!
Response: You're welcome! Thanks for the 5 and the heart!
Response: I'm so glad you liked them! The file folder project ... I'm itching to make another one too - each one can be different. They are supposed to be sewn but I don't have a machine so just used the grommets. Cloth Paper Scissors magazine was the source - Jan/Feb issue. Working on our current swap tonight ...
Response: Yay! Glad you liked what I sent. I think that batch of ATC's might be my fave of the ones I've made so far ... at least, they are the only ones that turned out somewhat how I envisaged them!
Response: Thanks for the heart! I was inspired by your love for flip flops (as listed on your profile) and couldn't decide which one I liked better - the flip flops ATC's or the boat ATC's that I made at the same time! (I made one of each for myself too!)
Response: Thank you! And I'm happy for the suggestion to tape things up better ... I've now received two things myself that had torn edges and I've learned my lesson!
Response: So glad that you liked what I sent ... somehow feels like the pressure is on a little bit more with a private swap when there isn't a set theme!
Response: Yay! It made it ... So glad I decided to put in the paper - I knew you did some papercrafts, but don't ask for paper on your profile. But I had just bought a pack and thought some bits and pieces of different colours/textures/patterns is always helpful. That's how this swap started, right???
Response: I'm so glad you liked it! It forced me to figure out how to use the eyelet tools that I'd bought. My dog doesn't sleep with me, but he is sometimes allowed on the couch to cuddle - I tend to invite him up when I am cold ;-)
Response: So glad you liked it. Thanks for rating and for giving me a heart!
Response: Thanks for the rating, and the heart! My first ATC was so much fun!
Response: Thanks for the rating, and the heart. Actually, I think I might have been happier with the way the packaging turned out than with the ATC's themselves ... aren't the vellum envelopes cool?!?
Response: You don't know how happy you've made me! I am not at all confident about my drawing and have to give myself permission to be "just learning/playing." I don't know the other song you are talking about, but might have to go google it now ...
Response: You MAY have mentioned in your profile that you like owls ... so it seemed a safe bet to make you happy! Plus, owls are super cute and a relatively easy shape for a newbie like me! BTW, I like flamingos. One of my partners made me a flamingo card :-)
Response: Whew! The big question was whether all the bling would make it there, or whether it would leave a sequin trail through the postal system ...
Response: I recommend the onion and poppyseed - purple box. :-) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Glad you like it! I'm intrigued that it reminds you of Seattle ... I've never been there. Do they have similar skylines or architecture?
Response: Glad to hear that it made it to you ... and pretty quickly too! Maybe Canadian postal service isn't that bad after all ...
Response: Thank you for the rating, and for the heart! Any and all prayers are much appreciated.
