And thank you for the very prompt card. I have only passed through Mississippi on trips to DC when we used to live in Houston. Maybe someday... Thanks again.
Response: I just talked to my mother and my great aunt's maiden name was Callahan and her married name was Lizana. She lived on the MS Gulf Coast in DeLisle which is the county part of Pass Christian. Mom doesn't know where her name came from but the area was settled by the French and most of the surnames there are French.

Comment: I am so sorry for not acknowledging your postcard earlier. I fell behind at swap-bot and just hid my head in shame instead of trying to do something about it. Now it is a new year and since I really loved being a part of swap-bot I decided that I had to do something about it, since I still want to be part of it. I don't live too terribly far, and actually, here in Indiana we have a "little" Nashville, that has a "little" Grand Ole Opry ( - recently burnt down :( - and other replica sights that pay tribute to the real place. I found your card very interesting. I'm a fan of many artists listed on the card, especially Patsy Cline. And thank you for the thought about the ASL "I Love You" - fortunately, that is one I know well and use everyday! Thanks a lot. :)

Comment: I went to New Orleans for the first time for New Year's this year. I loved it! It is amazing though how much work still remains to be done. I couldn't believe the mass destruction. I think we all go on with our lives and forget that real people still are removed from what they feel is home. I went to college in Jonesboro, AR - so I know Memphis well. It isn't all that bad, but the Delta region really suffers economically. If you like hot and steamy weather, come to southern Texas - we are ALWAYS hot. :)
