I had to contact you to find out you would be sending late, and then contact you a second time to find out you'd be sending even later than thought. I do understand life gets hectic, but a simple email doesn't take very long, especially when you created other swaps during that time.

Comment: For this to be the coordinator I was surprised about the contents of the box. She said please don't send trash or junk, but that is basically what I got. I HATE leaving negative feedback, but almost all of it had cat hair on it. It literally looked like you went to your local goodwill penny box and grabbed a handfull and then packed it in a box and sent it to me. The sad part is you paid almost $10 to mail it. You should have saved your money.
Update: I'm not the first one who has mentioned cat hair. They also smelled like smoke. Honestly I can't even remember most of the stuff in the box because I threw it away once I got it. I'm sorry to seem mean, but that is just how I feel.
Update 2 (and last): I guess I'm a millionaire then. There was some torn smoky ribbon in the box, a cat hair covered butterfly pillow, some ripped shreds of scrapbooking paper and a few other broken items. It makes no sense that I wouldn't open the box. There wasn't only one other person who mentioned cat hair by the way. A simple apology would have probably worked better on your behalf. "Too Many Losers have mentioned said the same thing" ... um...did you just shoot yourself in the foot or what. If "too many" people are saying the same thing, looks like there is a pattern here.
Response: Hm, well, I would love to hear about specific items I sent that you dislike... and find it interesting that items I picked fresh out of goodwill could so quickly have accrued cat-hair! .. UPDATE: I've never smoked a cigarette in my life lol and i don't know anyone who does either. Yeah, the other person who mentoned cat hair is currently attempting to join Flat Rate Box Cram 14. She must've been miserable with her swap! I think there should be some kind of rule against rating low when you can't even remember the contents of the box....As for the butterfly pillow I used a lint roller to remove cat hair before sending.

Comment: i got this today and im very disappointed. the items are covered in cat hair. its on my profile i don't like cat/dog hair on items. i live in Florida so i don't have a need for gloves. how can one wear a set of socks if there's only 3 socks.*updated 4-22* package i got consisted of 2 fur covered pairs of gloves. a ty bear covered in fur. 3 mix matched fur covered socks. the tin can was rusted on the hinges, wasn't worth the $15 swap was made for. i threw the whole package away after letting you know about it. maybe use a lint roller before mailing anymore items that may collect fur.
Response: I make every effort possible to keep the cats away from items. But there's only so much I can do. As for the socks, they are brand new little mismatched socks (http://www.littlemissmatched.com/) worth $7-14 and they're supposed to be that way. As for the gloves and the fact that you're in FL- one would think even FL gets cold in the winter; I come from the south myself. But really, you can always re-swap them.
updated 4/23- what a class act you are to come back, weeks later, and change my rating to a 3 when it was originally a 5 and then lie about the condtion of the brand new tin which you had no complaint about before. I will contact Rachel in addition to the hosts of all high value swaps you're in or join in the future. You're obviously trying to scam me to send you more stuff so that you'll change my rating and it won't work. Comment: I'm sorry to rate so low, but the items I received were broken& rather trashy & was COMPLETELY covered in cat hair & sadly both me & my hubby are extremely allergic to cat hair, so had to throw the whole package away....I honestly do NOT like to leave bad ratings, but the swap say's feel free to leave a 3 if the items are junky (or something to that fact...) so sadly, I feel I had to rate a 3, you did send it, so it wouldn't be fair to leave anything lower, but it did not deserve a 5.
*ADDED* 1-21-09- sadly, it IS on my profile that I am allergic to cat hair (look under "dislikes", if you don't believe me...it's always been there...) from what I was able to look through, there was some kind of scratched up,dented, checkerboard, broken ceramic, knic-knac, some kind of atari looking cartrage, & broken candles, or soap thingys & everything was just smashed into the box ( along with literal furballs...) & your description says leave a 3 if things were downright garbage, so I did...
Response: If the items you received were broken they became that way in transit to you and I have no control over that. I have two cats, and it wasn't PROMINENTLY listed in your profile that you're allergic to cat-hair. I'd like to know what I sent that was trashy? Did you notice the part of the swap description that says "We're not exactly swapping diamonds here"? This is not a high end "Get nice stuff" swap, and general netiquette is to PM before leaving a bad rating. ADDED: There's no way the chessboard could've been dented as it was made of WOOD and quite sturdy. Ceramic, knick-knack.. yeah, those are typical cram box swp items! Sorry you didn't enjoy the SEGA GENESIS game I had gotten as a bonus when I ordered some other games off EBAY the week before. Broken candles? You mean the pebble shaped ones that are brand new and still sealed in PLASTIC? I guess I'm curious-- what kind of items did I send that cat-hair would even cling to, or is this just yet another person who hates cats and can claim cat-hair is on items because obviously, I have some. And in your rating before you said you threw the package away without even looking at it.. which is obvious by this rating, and totally understandable given the pathetic, immature way I've been treated on this site which even Rachel PMed me yesterday saying she has a huge problem with. Don't you "women" have anyting better to do than join swaps by someone you dislike in order to trash their profile? Too bad I do, and this doesn't really bug me at all. It's amusing in a really sad kind of way.

UPDATE: I got this as part of a "angel" situation that was really a 3 way swap. I wouldn't do this again, but wanted to keep my word. I originally rated a 1, but updated to a 3 once it was angeled by lucky. I wish I hadn't agreed to this 3 way thing, but thought I should keep my word. I would definitely caution anyone against swapping with Cat, she doesn't communicate and is difficult to deal with.

So sorry I'm not a mindreader. Third, the "chinese takeout container" is plastic decorated with palm trees. Obviously it was never intended for real food. It's also brand new btw. Fourth, since you acknowledge it meets the swap requirements that i wrote myself, I think what you meant to say is that this is not a heart-worthy swap. And that's fine. But this diatribe on my profile is neither necessary nor appreciated nor accurate.
And good, keep your melodramatic, over-the-top comments. The fact that you are quoting me on my own requirements just further proves that you are exaggerating and lying about the quality of this swap.

Response: I love when people rate me 3s for swaps I've created, like I don't know my own requirements. AS *I* wrote *you*, I read your profile and had no clue what your 'thing' was- so I just sent what one would expect in a cram swap-- a rare, vintage journal, and organizer, some weird pictures of peoples' children i acquired off someone's door step, etc. sorry you weren't satisfied, but this rating doesn't bother me because it's just not a fair one but just another attempt to slam someone that a limited but vocal minority on this site feel is unpopular.

I have to share my husbands comment about the box. I go to a lot of thrift stores, garage sales and bring home a lot of stuff. He commented that now "you're getting junk mailed to you".

Response: Art supplies..that's really broad. Everyone has use for several pairs of socks, provided they fit. The swap criteria said to simply said your partner anything, so I did.
