updated 4/15/08-- Thanks to all who have been so patient. Things are still a bit out of control, but perhaps not QUITE so much. I am so tired of doctors/hospitals/tests/appointments! I was able to work on swaps some this past weekend and hope to have several in the mail tomorrow and ratings up to date this afternoon.

updated 3/5/08--Well, it is time to update, but it is a bit hard to know what to say. My husband has had Multiple Sclerosis for 10 years, and though he has done very well till now, he is beginning to have more complications. It has been somewhat overwhelming to say the least as his family is all overseas, and there are no close friends that can be called on. In addition, I have been dealing with some negative test results and am trying to get a grip on my own health issues as well. PLEASE accept my deepest apologies for getting excited about joining swaps that I thought I could manage only to find they had to be delayed while life presents another challenge..... As I have always said, late swaps WILL BE FULFILLED. Thank you all.

I guess we all find life a little complicated at times. For me, it is one of those out-of-control moments that is lasting a little longer. Swap-bot was/and is a great way to meet people, express oneself and release stress through creativity. I am thankful to the creators, swappers and the friend that first told me about Swap-bot. Though I am behind on a few swaps, I am trying to get past the issues that are holding me back. Thanks to all who have encouraged me. To those waiting for swaps, please accept my apology for running late. All swap obligations will be fulfilled. Thank you for your patience.

I am married, mom to one son, a native Texan and love the Lord Jesus Christ. At this time, I do not have any pets, but really like to hear stories about pets and their humans. Even more, I enjoy photos and stories about children of all ages as if they are all my own!? I am always asking people if they have any new pictures of their children/grandchildren...

I have been told that I am friendly, helpful and have a big heart. It is very important to me to find the positive in any situation. Life is too short to be negative :) Complimenting or encouraging someone, gives me a "rush" of joy.

I like all colors, but my most favorite color would be green or red (together only in nature or at Christmas!) and my least favorite color might be orange or yellow (except in nature/in the Fall). Really like jewel tones. do not especially like Neons-they have their place, but not a favorite for me.

NO candles, please/tarts are ok; I like some florals (honeysuckle, rose), spice, vanilla and fresh clean scents.

Collect: unique thimbles, pretty tea cups, antique(old) gadgets like kitchen utensils, sewing items, etc. that are meant to be used in the home or garden. I like vintage clothing/accessories. I like anything with crosses, cherubs, babies, flowers, teddy bears, soft-pretty things.

Not into astrology, but astronomy is ok

Do not like anything dark or Halloween themes.

Thanksgiving/Harvest is great and Autumn is my favorite season. Christmas is probably my favorite holiday, but I prefer the spiritual focus rather than the commercial side.

food: almost everything, but I am recently trying to focus more on whole foods and am somewhat health conscience. However, I still have weaknesses like: ice cream-especially Blue Bell Natural Vanilla Bean; chocolate-especially dark (thank goodness it is now considered "healthy")

I like coffee and tea but due to health reasons, am having to limit both. I like hot chocolate in the winter.

I do not drink soda or alcohol (but will consider cooking with wine).

Bert's Bees lip balm and lotions are just great!
