Description:

Round 10! And thanks Thefinderofthings for the idea :) For this swap, we will be cramming flat rate boxes full of anything and everything. You want to go for miscellaneous, random, varied items.. and of course, you probably want to make it as heavy as possible.. just because you can :)

Be aware that this isn't necessarily about getting stuff you need, so if you get stuff you can't use send it to your local thrift store or re-swap it. or freecycle it. or whatever. But please, please do NOT send trash or anything downright disgusting. Your partner can rate a 3 for that. But be aware-- you will probably receive used items in this swap. That's kind of the point. Just use good judgement in sending and rating, eh? Also-- for possible hearts-- I encourage you to have a look at your partner's profile and send things they might enjoy...

And in keeping with the original this is US ONLY. NOT INTERNATIONAL

If you have any questions, PM ME.

As far as who can join-if you are new you must have at least participated in 3 real swaps. and you must have at least a 4.2 to JOIN. i'm leaving this pretty open since we're not exactly swapping diamonds here. if you don't meet these requirements and still want to join, PM. I may make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

you said this was US only but the location says international!

cat 03/22/2009 #

it's definitely US only

I might hold an international cereal box swap though

This sounds like a lot of fun, but what is a flat rate box? I know I may sound a little dense here, but I figure it's better to ask. Thanks!

I just realized that's probably w/ the post office, sorry, I work for FedEx and get a pretty good discount so I don't send w/ the post office very often. Is there a certain size for the box, or are there different sizes?

I love this idea! I'm going to have to skip on this one thou'. I would love to join round 11, if there is a round 11. Sounds like fun

There probably will be a round 11 :)

There are different sizes. You can always go to the post office and check it out for yourself and if FedEx has something comparable, it might be all right for you to join & use that.

ambermonkey 03/27/2009 #

What size flat rate box?

cat 03/29/2009 #

standard size, larger for possible hearts

ambermonkey 03/29/2009 #

I might be crazy...but I see three different ones at the post office.

12” x 12” x 5-1/2” and 11" X 8.5" X 5.5" and 5-3/8” x 8-5/8” x 1-5/8”

what is the standard size? I'll have to compare rates, but I might be shipping w/ FedEx. I just want to make sure I'm using the right size box if I decide to ship it from work.
