Comment: Thanks for the 3x5! I love the card, but I must admit, the heart that I gave you comes more from the envelope. I love handmade envelopes, and this one(both inside and out) might be one of the coolest recycled ones that I've seen. I'm guessing that its from a klutz book; I'll have to keep my eye out for one to cut up! Thanks a lot!

Comment: Nice letter! What pen did you use? And what ink? How interesting that it started out black and turned blue. My guess is that you had black ink in the pen, then refilled with blue without flushing the pen first. So the last of the black came out, then the new blue. Is that possible?
Response: There is a blue and black in cartridge. It was dark so I thought the blue was black. Oh well :) Glad you liked the letter.

Comment: Quite an interesting list, though some were pages instead of groups. I am thinking about joining the photo one too! Oh and by the way about the last group (Lawrence County genealogy) you mentioned, "closed" just means that you have to request to join... and then someone can approve/add you to the group. Some groups are closed because the creator/members don't want their posts available to the public; they are only viewable by members.
Response: I thought I did get all groups. I did get a message from someone on the Lawrence County group. I was thrilled to get it. The swap showed me more of facebook.

Comment: This was so very very interesting, especially since the person you wrote about was family back in the war. I'm impressed :)
Response: Thanks. I liked writing it. BTW, the made up parts are that I don't know how he was injured in the war. He was discharged on the date in the letter. From there, I don't know what happened to him. He did not return home and his wife did not claim a pension in 1890 as widows of the Civil War could.

Comment: I have to say, you nailed one of my secret "likes" with your mound pictures. Friends and I did a road trip a few years ago to see Athena in Centennial Park in Tenn. and then followed the mounds up through to Ohio to the Serpent Mound. Awesome swap! I'll be grinnin' for days.

Response: I got it back with the help of the County Sheriff Department, the school principal, and the many boy scouts there who were trustworthy and didn't walk off with my laptop. Many people actually were involved in getting my laptop back. I was extremely grateful.

Comment: Thanks sooo much for the Marvel card!! I LOOOOVE it! I saw those for sale at the post office... I meant to get them, I went back and they were gone. lol. Aww we used to have a greyhound. He lived till 11. He was a retired and rescued racer. We currently have a havashon, yorkie, pitbull, and as of two days ago a mini chihuahua puppy. They all get along wonderfully! Bentley, out pitbull thinks the new tiny puppy is his baby. It's adorable! I bet your Dalmatian is beautiful! :) I've always wanted one, but haven't seen one in years!!
Response: My Dalmatian is very lightly spotted which is why I got him so cheap. But, he has all the qualities of a Dalmatian. He doesn't smile though. My first one did and that is really a site to melt anyone. My greyhound mix is the absolute best dog. My whole family loves him and always offers to take him for their own. But, he's part of our family and he gets spoiled, so he's going no where quick. Glad you liked the card.

easily obvious that there needs to be a lot of
time to get them processed: should put each
in a manila folder maybe in a stack on your
desk labelled "in" & then you'd realize how

"out"!

Comment: oh what a lovely photo of the Chihuly piece! He is one of my fave artists (and from here in Seattle!) and i am always mesmerized by his work! There was a huge Chihuly installation several years ago at the Botanical Garden in St. Louis (my hometown) and i spent HOURS there marvelling at it all & taking tons of pix! I am lucky that much of his work is all around this area, including a huge glass museum in Tacoma with the "Chihuly glass bridge"-check it out online if you like him. Thanks so much for the pc-happy swapping & shooting!
