I am a 31 year old living in Spokane, WA. I live with my husband Jason, our 2 cats, Mulder and Scully, and our 2 dogs, Abie and Maggie. My puppies are my babies and the only kids I plan on having. My step-kids Jake (11) and Jordan (7) stay with us every other weekend so I get to be a step-mom too.
I have a Chinese background and trully love the culture. My family spoke Cantonese so I know a little, but am in the process of teaching myself Pinyin.
I grew up in Seattle and LOVE the Seattle Mariners, although my back up team is the Boston Red Sox. Anyone who is a fan of the Mariners understands the need for a Γ’β¬Εback upΓ’β¬Β team. Particularly this yearΓ’β¬Β¦
I am a coffee-holic. The guys down at Starbucks have my drink memorized and I love to collect unloaded Starbucks giftcards from around the world.
I love to play World of Warcraft. I have a 70 night elf rogue on the Hyjal server and spend a decent amount of time playing online with my husband and his characters.
I consider myself to be a bit of a geek but enjoy being that way. I am a tattooed, pierced, Securities and Asset/Liability Analyst who works for a bank. I loved to get all dolled up to go out clubbing, but appreciate a good pair of pajama pants. I make clothes for my dogs and dress them up, but also love taking them to the dog park so they can run and be dogs. Basically I like to live all sides of life and enjoy sampling just about everything life has to offer.
Things I like to collect are journals, paper, stickers, stamps, (anything paper related), yarn, postcards, (I LOVE postcrossing.com), and good penpals.
I am a movie and pop culture fanatic and my tastes are a little bit to the avant-garde, quirky side.
Most importantly I love experiencing new things and am open to any type of swap!
I am now officially a crochet instructor! I teach a beginning crochet class for the Spokane Department of Parks and Rec. Nothing like getting paid to do what you love! Now if I could just quit my day job...
I love to knit, crochet, and do all types of crafts, particularly repurposing old items. I am a full on yarn addict! One of my favorite things to do is give new life to old clothes I find at yard sales or thrift stores. I recently started needle felting. I am working on little replicas of our dogs for my husbands birthday and then I'm going to try my hand at cell phone charms. Too fun!
PROJECT RUNWAY! CSI, (all 3 of them), the X-Files, Top Chef, Iron Chef America, No Reservations.
I love just about any novel that takes place in India. Some authors I enjoy are: Vikram Seth, Arundhati Roy, and (guilty pleasure), most books on Oprah's list. I've also read and re-read every book in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series.

"Ray, when someone asks you if you're a God, you say "YES"!
"Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together."
"Game over man, Game over!"
"It will come out no more!"
"If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?"
Not sure what to send me? Send me something that you love. I am so not picky and really enjoy learning about new things, so who knows, maybe I'll end up loving it too! If you could include a note letting me know why you love it that would be even better.
Also, feel free to re-gift to me. Maybe it's not your taste, but it could be mine :)
If I am sending to you please know that I put a lot of thought into my swaps and want very much for you to like them. If you find them lacking in anyway, please send me a message so I can make it right.

thanks for the cute angeled book!
:) Duct tape and WD40. All the tools you will ever need. Duct tape for the stuff that moves but shouldn't and WD40 for the stuff that should move but doesn't. He he.
That duct tape quote is too cute. My dad thinks duct tape can fix anything from shoes to marriage. LOL j/k about the marriage part. Have a great week!
Thank you SO MUCH!!!
Thanks!!
lizanne! Thanks for joining my Beginner Dotee Swap!!!
AND, one of my favorite novels is Golden Gate by Vikram Seth
hi Lizanne--I was reading your profile (I wonder why?) and noticed you were a Seattleite. I live there for twenty years, until three years ago, and miss it a LOT! I'm old enough to remember when the Mariners had a GREAT year! I'm not much of a baseball fan, but I AM a Mariners Fan, or was back in the day. --Melissa
