Hi my name is Lori. I am a NewYorker by birth and a Texan by choice. My husband & I moved to Texas back in 1981 right after graduating college and never thought we’d still be here!! But we love it!!

MUSIC: My Favorite music is Country & Classic Rock.

BOOKS: I love to read in my spare time. I find it very relaxing to get lost in a book. Mostly Romance with some mystery are preferred. Some of my favorite authors right now are: Colleen Hoover, Susan Mallery, Nicholas Sparks, Taylor Jenkins Reid, Jodi Piccoult, Kristin Hannah, Freida McFadden and Ruth Ware to name a few. Since starting swap-bot and spending more time in my art room I listen to audio books while I do art rather than read print books.

TRAVEL: I love to travel with my husband & grown children when they are available. I love learning about other cultures in the USA as well as going further to foreign countries. We frequent the Bahamas a lot. Anywhere in the Caribbean is a plus. We also travel to a National Park at least once a year. We take turns on which member of the family gets to choose the park for the following year!! We have been to Europe several times also. But I do believe there is still so much beauty in the US to see!

CRAFTS: As far as crafting goes I love just about any craft. But mostly paper crafts. My favorite is Cardmaking, bookmaking and creating Art Journals. Since joining Swap-bot I have made a lot of post cards, ATC’s & APC’s. I love all of these as well. I’ve also made homemade paper. I’m a big recycler and like repurposing whatever I can in my crafting. I can stay in my Art Room for hours and just lose track of time. I am not afraid to try just about any craft and have done many over the years.

FAVORITES: *I don’t really have a favorite color but do like bright colors rather than pastels. I also like Fall colors. The combination of black & white is pleasing to my eye in both photos & paper crafts. * I like vintage but just not as much as bright and bold. * I love collages and mixed media art
* Stamping & Stickers of- Dragonflies-they are such interesting insects!! Ladybugs Bumble Bees Sea Turtles Starfish Llamas Sun & Moon Coffee & Tea Fairies Nature * Contemporary, modern, geometric things * I always prefer homemade rather than store bought.

DISLIKES: I am pretty easy going and can’t think of many dislikes right now. I may edit that at some point!! LOL!! Hopefully I won’t offend anyone!!

*kawaii *anime *Kid/cutesie *I don’t love cats but cat art is okay. *Glitter *sequins that will fall off art *Although I like using ribbon please don’t send any because I have so much of it. Unless it’s lace, I don’t have any of that. *Crocheted, knitted, or yarn art. *I have plenty of paper so unless it is very unique I don’t need any. *Please do not send food items

My first two years as a member of Swap-bot.❤️ has been so enjoyable. I feel like I know so many of the ladies I swap with!! I’m looking forward to the years to come.
