Response: Well, my husband thought really fast, I guess and kept rocking back and forth. The problem was the truck was huge and had a big trailer hitch-when we got into the mud, the water was going over the hood and when we backed up, the hitch would lodge in the mud behind us. We finally pulled out on the other side, but then found out the road was closed-we could see the main highway a few hundred yards ahead of us but couldn't get to it! We then had to turn around and go through it again to get back. We knew to keep way to one side that time though. Really, when we first seen the water, it didn't look that bad, but It was probably over 4 ft deep and 15x15 square area. If you have never been to West Virginia, it is a different place to go. They have only 3 types of roads-major highways, state highways, and "cowpaths". You would be amazed at the roads these people use. Have a great day.
