I would really love it if someone were to examine my family tree. I know the family history tree from my mother's side. It is very interesting. A few years ago my mother met someone with the same last name. They searched the family tree together and discovered that they had the same ancestor (115 years ago)!

It was fun reading about some of the amazing places you have visited as I haven't been able to travel far and wide myself. I have heard wonderful things about Netherlands and I hope to one day visit there myself as the pictures I have seen look so peaceful. I also have family there and it would be wonderful to meet them one day!
Response: We meant relative that I have there and it was great, we are still in very close contact with them and I can't wait to see them again. We always travel in the off season so it is cheaper and go with a backpack so we don't have to pay for luggage and stops us from buying a bunch of stuff that we don't need. It's been pretty amazing to be able to have this experience, but sure have to watch airline, our first time we got tickets to Scotland for $245., we can't even fly to Vancouver for that, and then back from Gatwick (England) $599. we spend more going to Alberta with our truck! Just watch! Flying in Europe is super cheap.

Comment: Hello again! =) Bonnie, it sounds like a rad weekend and I think it's amazing you're making those masks. I debated whether to get a sewing machine last year but I wasn't sure if I would use it that often so I decided it wasn't worth the investment. (Most things I need to do are often easily solved with a tiny bit of hand sewing.) Now I wished I had so I could be "useful." I'm not patient enough for the art of sewing but once I get something made, I get a strong sense of accomplishment. <33 Rock on, beautiful human spirit.

Response: Can get them at the Visitors/tourist center when you first come into town along the tracks. Funny, I just got a PC from Calgary, we go there a lot and I've never seen a city of Calgary card until I received this one. Going to look for one next time I'm there to send to my grand-daughters next time we are there, just don't know where to start.

Comment: Bonnie, thank you so much for the lovely letter, it made my day. Just hearing about your family and doing things with them, made me smile. All my children are far away-MA & TX, so I don't see them very often. My grandchildren in TX are all grown, 2 with children giving me 6 great grands. The ones in MA are younger and keep their parents very busy with academics and sports. Avery is on an soccer team and will be going out to Colorado for the US championships. They came in 3rd last year. She is only 15. Hunter 17 is great in the javelin throws and loves football. He is tall and skinny, so he is a fast runner. Aubrey 9 is just starting out in the sports, but has already excelled because he brother and sister practise with her all the time. My operation was a success but it didn't seem to be my problem. I am going to see a hematologist tomorrow. Hope I can get things settled once and for all. It seems when you reach your 70's everything fall apart. Take care of yourself, I'll be thinking of you. Will send your postcard off in the next round. Shirley

There's a nice 360 view near the peak and a streetview walk on the trail to Berg Lake. I love Google Streetview for seeing things I may never get to see otherwise.

Comment: Thank you so much for your funny Christmas card. Penguins have a special place in my heart for personal reasons. So it's a perfect card for me! 😊 I also loved your letter. It made me really remember my Christmas trees past. When I was little we always had a real tree with real candles. Then later we got cats and downgraded to a small fake tree with colourful lights already worked into the branches. Now that I live with my boyfriend we have an even smaller fake tree which has real-looking lights. We work all the time anyway and don't really need a bigger or real tree at this point. Maybe in the future some time with children. But for now I really love our mini-tree. ❤

I found out last night that my granddaughter has been telling her friend about my phobia because they recorded a video of a zoo that they made with LEGO and in one of the cages was a frog and the friend pipes up and says ‘but your afraid of frogs so you won’t like this cage’ - alrighty, let’s hope they won’t think it’ll be fun to surprise me when they see our truck pull up.😱😱😱😱. Ugh summer is coming, the one downfall.

I did not have the souvenir sheet with the daisies and it is going to my collector's album. The travel journal is cute. I have to show the scrubbie to my sister. She knits and crochet and she needs to see what you have created. Thank you!
Response: I’m happy to see you liked everything. It’s CRAFT NETTING SPOOLS - 100% nylon. It comes in a roll 3â€x40 yards. I tried the netting you would use to make a veil, but it is too light and does nothing but rip. So tell her to save her time and money and just go for the craft netting spool, I get it at Fabricland and it’s expensive but watch for it to go on sale. I love these scrubbies.

Our weather is warm for this time of year, but, there is a chance we might get some snow flakes on Christmas. Who knows. Enjoy your Holidays.
Response: We are almost at the stage where we will also be alone for Christmas. All kids have grown and their spouses family would like to have them their. Christmas isn’t a big thing with us, we don’t exchange gifts anymore and haven’t for years, with the other families to so they have more events happening. We have a supper, but we can do that on any day. Merry Christmas to you and go and do something different for yourself. I am thinking next year we might go and help at the soup kitchen or something If we have no body around.

Comment: Bonnie thank you for the cute Santa Christmas card and your wonderful letter. It brought back many memories. The street I lived in MA, it seemed everyone in the 70's went all out and decorated their homes with lights. Every evening we would have loads of cars and some mini buses(they would take the seniors living in assisted living) that would come to see our street. Being a cul-de-sac, they had to come back through. We used to sit in the dark as not to disturb our lighting. I even remember one Christmas when someone actually stole some of my Christmas lights. I was lucky as they still had some left which were large candles. It was a year of happiness, as my son went and put lights around the edges so it looked like a gingerbread house. We won 3rd prize in a city of 30,000 people. Boy were we proud and very happy. It was a great holidy season for us. Shirley

Comment: Hello Bonnie! I loved your happy mail â¤. The area where I live have a lot of pine and fir trees, so the forest is quite dark. We don't have bears here in the south of Sweden, but in the north they have brown bears. Here we have deer, foxes and elks. When I drove home on Monday I saw three elks. A mum and two babies eating grass in a field right by the road. My daughter and I got to watch them for quite a while 😊😊😊

Response: That's funny because I am regularly in your town visiting a friend. It is a nice trip, but we make it so often that we were taking everything for granted. Last time we went we made a point to stop at the Mount Robson information/store/museum, I don't recall the last time we stopped there, but it was pretty neat.

Response: We are good, but Williams Lake/Hansville area could sure use it and Kamloops/Kelowna as well. Don't think they've seen much sun this summer 😥. Think everyone in many provinces will be glad when fires get put out because of the smoke.

Response: Ithe Fraser us usually very muddy not sure why, but it does have a much faster current so maybe that' has something to do with it. Doesn't matter where you cross paths with the Fraser Rive its muddy.

Response: I have very long hair and will only use those kinds because they are so easy to get out. Double them up though because they tend to break if you use just one at a time. Glad your son likes the tape.

My favorites are the beautiful lilac sticker, the cute little frog, turtle and bird, and oooh the fabric labels of travel and Paris -- I didn't grab that wonderful set at Michaels and when I went back, it was gone. I love the pretty envelope, the washi samples, postcard, Airmail labels, Project Life cards and stationery, but the best part has to be your long letter! Thanks for the stories about your phobia of frogs! I can see the humour your family and friends find in it and I also can understand your personal pep talks of "I can do this"! :) I'm not sure I'd call it a phobia, but I truly truly do not like moths, and you know how the fly somehow erratically? We spent six weeks in Australia when I was pregnant, as a sort of Babymoon, in a (rather small) Campervan. Four of those six weeks we spent driving along the West Coast of Australia, and there are SO MANY flying things there - it was horrible. While directly at the coast with the wind, it was okay, but once you got more into the interior parts of the country, it was hell on earth. Once we explored some thing or the other and I wore a white T-Shirt - my fiance later told me he counted more than FIFTY flies sitting on my back at one time. And you know, wearing more layers was not really a possibilty what with the heat of being there plus being pregnant at the time. Plus, with a five month pregnany belly, I had to pee quite often as one is wont to do when pregnant, so at night I regularily had to get out of our campervan and cross the campsites to get to the outhouse and the moths were enormous! The would sit really still and you'd hope they don't start moving while you're in the cubicle until all of a sudden, they start moving in their erratical way and I'd have to get out of there as fast as I could. I think the biggest horrors were when one got inside our campervan with me at night and we couldn't find it to get it out again, when one got tangled in my hair close to my ear and once when one started flying at me in the shower, trying to land on me repeatedly. I get the shudders thinking back to it honestly and it's been three years. Anyway, I wanted to thank you again for your mail! It truly made my day :) All the best!
Edit: Oh gosh, I just thought of another thing! I got gestational diabetes, so I couldn't have any icecream or anything like that in my summer pregnancy, which sucked. So I improvised and pureed some fruit with yoghurt to make popsicles out of that. So there I was, enjoying my banana yoghurt popsicle one hot day in july when I looked down to what I was eating and there was one of those small moths IN MY SACRED POPSICLE (because I was craving sweets, you know, and that was the only sweet thing I was allowed that day) - apparently it was sitting in the ice mold when I took it out of the cabinet and I didn't see it before pouring the yoghurt mix in. I was so disgusted I wanted to die then and there :( lol
Response: I truly feel for you. I know another lady who is so scared of moths that she doesn't go out at night. We have what they call spruce beetles here and they are big with long antennas and fly like they are drunk, they freak me out but not like frogs, I don't freeze when I see a spruce beetle. I have been told that they bite but am not sure and have so far been able to duck out of their way as they zig zag by {SHUDDER}. I truly can say if I was eating something and seen a frog on it I would seriously pass out or it could be the end of me.
Thank you for sharing your fear (phobia) with me. I can't help but think my fears are minor compared to someone like you, with moths they are everywhere. My mom was afraid of moths and I never knew it until she found out about my fear of frogs. They lived on a farm and there were moths EVERYWHERE, I don't know how she controlled her fear but she kept it well hidden.
But when it comes down to it, I think the worse fear would be of light bulbs, I can't imagine what life would be like trying to control that one!

Response: I was pretty disappointed with how it turned out. I had great visions of it, but a friend passed away while I was doing it so I rushed it - right down to using the wrong colored background paper. Prior to that I had colored so many and they didn't turn out how I wanted time, so tossed them out - should have used one of them as they were better, but I thought I had lots of time. I am not proud of my attempt.
I am trying to use other mediums and am seeing them as I receive the ATC's, I just hope that people are patient while I learn. Thank you for giving me a 5 and heart.

I have hundreds of ATC's collected through the years, and this one is most definitely one of my absolute favorites I've ever received. Response: Black ones are rare to see, and intimidating when you do see them. Timber wolves you'll see crossing highways and one town we lived in there was always one hanging around people watching and probably looking for the out door cats. We have a lot of foxes in town here and they always have a cat hanging out of their mouths, a cat or chicken that some people try to raise in town. We also have bears, cougars, lynx (always my favourite to see). Lots of stories to tell about wild life. Glad you enjoyed card.
