Home schooling mother of 2 adolescent boys. I am color obsessed and textile addicted! I love to knit and have been doing so for almost 12 years. Lace is my favorite, though I rarely wear it, and rarely have time to knit it.

I'm also a quilter, sewer, a newbie watercolor painter, and my newest addiction are Artist Trading Cards and art journaling. I love ATC's, because it allows me to explore all art mediums.

I especially love to use vintage lace, vintage hankies, photos and verbage from old books and used postage stamps.

I live in my garden in the spring and summer and love playing in the dirt.

I love to write and I'm working on writing my first 2 books. I have journals throughout the house, to record my inspirations, and have found that writing poetry often helps me work through life's trying times.

Up and Pay It Forward! There is so little time for movie viewing. When there is time, I want it to be a positive, feel good movie.

I love to learn about different parts of the world! The landscape, the people, the textile history. I love to hear stories of old quilts, that have survived generations within a family. Or the handknit blanket or sweater, made by a grandmother who lived on some far off island. And I love well written historical fiction!

As an art journalist, I love exploring various mediums in my art. I also love meaningful quotes. Quotes that make you stop and think....not so much cliche.

As for preference, I'm not sure I have any strong preferences. I love fun color, bold color, subtle colors, big bold flowers, solids, etc. (Not a lover of plaid or bubblegum pinks.) I especially love old Danish and Japanese fabric, and vintage buttons. Not something readily available here in the states:-(

I love all things nature, butterflies, bees, trees, and especially birds!. Most importantly, I love surprises, so just about any goes for me.

I have developed a taste for fine Irish linens, love to collect old floral hankies, pretty paper and love colorful buttons of all sorts (not so fond of metal buttons).

I don't care much for cutesie or glitter. On occasion I use a tad bit of glitter glue to embellish, but the pour on glitter.....can't stand it. It's messy, and it ruins anything it touches.

I love cute little kids, especially if they are vintage, but I don't care much for cute little teddy bears, hearts....bubble gummy type things. Not a big fan of stickers either. I don't use them, so I'd rather not get them.
