About Me

I am a 27 year old artist: I paint - mixed media canvas work (sometimes working with scrapbooking supplies and old dictionary pages) is my "specialty", origami, drawing, photography, decorating, sculpting. I love working with watercolors, the most, at the moment. I personalize EVERYTHING that I own, even if it's just a monthly planner - I don't like the thought that I could walk in somewhere and sit right next to someone else with the exact item as me. lol. I have been married for a year, but with him for 11 years. He's phenomenal - he's the cheese to my macaroni. I have tattoos. I am a BIG reader, but am not creating a book tab, because the list is very long. I am a very earthy person - bohemian/anthropology-type-girl, if you will - everything nature. I love the rain. I love spring time. I love trees, birds and flowers blooming. I have a strange fascination for Zombie related things. I am a HUGE coffee AND tea drinker. I am back in college (it's never too late) and finishing up a double major: Graphics Design and Visual Marketing with an emphasis on Advertising. I am pretty bogged down with classes and recently moved from a LARGE city to a small, little "Stars Hallow"-type college town. Swap-bot is for my sanity. (=

Dotting you i's and crossing y

I am not picky, actually.

I will accept anything used - related to my interests (must be clean) or from a thrift store. I do, especially love handmade items. I think that Dollar Stores are equally awesome, you can find some great things in there.

  • I LOVE music! "Listen to music that doesn't exist yet."

  • I LOVE Anything nature related - except for insects, marine life and amphibians. But I especially love Gerber daisies, poppys, trees, birds (anything bird related), rain, springtime - and it's smell, dandelions, clouds, and cherry blossoms (flowers in general)!

  • I LOOOOOVE Animals, but not into anything animal related, unless they're cutesy, cartoon-y, non-realistic animals.

  • I play video games, and LOOOOVE anything video game related, especially, at the moment: Final Fantasy (definitely a given), Little Big Planet themed, related. And, of course old school Nintendo - Mario Brother's, Metal Gear Solid, etc.

  • I am NOT into sports and/or anything that guys are majorly into (cars, beer, etc) at all.

  • I do enjoy incense - if they are made with natural essential oils (I enjoy "old school"/earthy scents. (Scents are in the next line)

  • I enjoy homemade soaps and/or hygiene products. SCENTS: (Vanilla, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Eucalyptus - earthy tones + Peppermint.)

  • I LOVE ANYTHING art related!

  • Coffee/Cafe themed items.

  • Please no religious stuff

  • Please no adult related things

  • Handmade ANYTHING - especially paper, scarves, books, blankets, pillow cases, long bags - messenger, totes, etc.

  • The color combinations Teal, Gray and Yellow - in any color combination, my favorite combination is Gray and Yellow, and ANYTHING green - nature colors - khaki, green, etc.

  • I belong to the green movement - I only use/buy all natural/ organic hygiene and cleansing products.

  • I love asian inspired things! (Not so much the cutesy, cartoony images like Hello Kitty, and that other really popular one that starts with a "K" - I went through my hello kitty phase over 11 years ago, I am too old for that)

  • I love antique and vintage things - especially antique/vintage keys, and definitely DEFINITELY long necklaces/large(r) pendants.

Comment: ..Hiya, Nancy! I like Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin! Their music video of "Modern Mystery" was so funny! (I especially liked the line, "Why do we fight with each others shadows?") I loved the vintage poster postcard of the Frazee Theatre! I got curious & I googled & this was what I found out abt. H.H. Frazee, "Entrepeneur who built the Longacre in NY and the Cort in Chicago; acquired the Lyric and Harris theatres in NY and the Arlington in Boston. In 1916, he bought the Boston Red Sox and in 1920 sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees." How intriguing! Anyway, thanks again for the lovely postcard & lyrics! :D

Comment: Oklahoma looks like such a pretty state. Didn't realize it had such a diverse landscape. Beaver Creek and Lake Altus look beautiful - and places that I'd enjoy visiting one day.

Comment: Thank you for the lovely comment. =) I live on the Gulf of Mexico...West Central Florida! We do have a lot in common, how neat! I'm doing my Master's in Instructional Technology. Supposedly I'll be able to design online classes when I finish. I find this unlikely though. ;) The wedding planning has been good so far. The major decisions have been made! Kamikaze is such a fluffball. I need to put up new pictures because his hair will not stop growing! It is even crimping behind his ears. He's very stylish in a 1980s way. =) Hope you have a good week!

Hi partner for the leave a nice comment swap. Such an interesting profile. I share your love for personalizing and making things unique but I mainly use fabric and linens to work with. I just recently designed a trifold artists portfolio for "on the go" sketching of patterns, complete with colored pencil holders:-)

I used to love the Tea scented incense that Anthropologie would sell but sadly they switched to another brand, still love that store!

Follow Eco-conscious recycler who makes homemade nontoxic cleaning products. Green is also my favorite color:-)

Hi Im Nicole and your partner for the leave a nice comment swap :) I love your profile and we have quite a few things in common.. I love that you are back in college.. I went to be a Vet Tech but would like to go back again to do something else. So knowing that you are going is giving me the extra push..I also love creativity and the arts, nature and unique stuff. .. I live in NYC and spend alot of time in Soho or the East Village cuz they are filled with all sorts or out of this world shops and thrift stores...I think that old things are way better then new things, and can spend hours at thrift shops...Its cool that you are not into sports being that I cant stand them and hate having to hear about the Yankees all the time...beer makes me sick and cars are only good to get you places, unless they are vintage then I think they are cool :) Are you enjoying swapbot so far? Im addicted to it and love to see what new swaps are added as well as think up swap that I can host. Maybe we will be swappers one day...cheers and hugs from the big apple :)

LOL!!!

I love your profile name! I do the same thing sometimes - Leahsaurus. A few years ago I made a t-shirt for myself with a dinosaur doodle and Leahsaurus written on it. Hmmm, I wonder what ever happened to that...

Love the animated avatar as well. :)
