Greetings!
I've been in and out of swap-bot for the past couple years and have greatly enjoyed participating in it. It's such great fun! I'm looking forward to future swaps.
A bit about me. I'm an east coaster currently residing on the west coast. Some day I'll move back east... I have two cats who are the light of my life and am well on my way to being one of those crazy cat ladies... it may even be a goal of mine.
I work in a cupcake bakery frosting cupcakes (yes, really). However, I just got my massage license and am looking forward to putting that to good use soon. I'm thinking of going into oncology or hospice massage work as that area of life has long drawn on me.
I am getting into folk music (Girlyman!) and love most anything French or Finnish. I love classical as well as metal... most anything that has some substance to it. I play several instruments but have most skill in viola, piano, and guitar. I also adore cooking and baking and trying new foods. I'm not a fan of raw tomatoes or raw onions, but other than that anything goes.
I very rarely dabble in spinning (yarn, not cycling) and used to write a lot but don't do that so much anymore. I miss it. I practice two martial arts and would pretty much call them my religion.
I adore rain, fire, and the colour blue. I would love to be able to fly.
I live in a crammed and bitsy apartment with two cats tearing the already cluttered place up. I choose swaps that won't create 'stuff' (and I am sorry if this comes across as rude, it is not my intention for it to). If you wish to include something extra a la heart rating, a recipe, bag of tea, or a music recommendation, favourite poem, favourite author, or even a quick note saying 'hi!' would be lovely. I'm not very crafty, so while I will look at stickers or yarn or scrapbook supplies and say 'shiny!' I have no use for them and feel bad that they end up sitting around... so that is my round about request for stuff-less extras if you are of that inclination. Thank you thank you. I appreciate all the generosity!

Hi - I just wanted to let you know that I did get your reading in the mail today! Keep me posted. Carmen
Hi! Hope your "summer of finishing" project is going well! I'm writing too, but for school, so it's not as much fun. Can't wait to hear about your progress!
Sorry about accidentally sending the same blank message over and over again! Stupid technology! Anyhoo . . . I just wanted to make it "pubicly" known that your surprise package was really sweet and thoughtful and made a gloomy day much brighter! :o)
just wanted to let you know that i received the first half of your summer of finishing letter. i wish you all the luck in finishing all of your projects this summer! :)
That's so interesting that my profile didn't influence your memoirs! I just re-read them and I realize that what made me think that was that you mentioned butterflies and dancing and being the change. :) You have some good ones that I enjoyed reading. I like your wording. I think you focused more on inner thoughts, characteristics, and aspirations and I was kind of giving an autobiography from the more boring "timeline/facts" standpoint. :)
Hey :] I really did enjoy doing the 'letter to your younger self' swap...but mine was nowhere near as good as yours!! I found yours SO interesting and SO well written!! You can tell you're a good writer :] and the stickers totally made my day, hehe! You're welcome for the heart..if I could have given you more I would have done <3 How are you? xxx
