Married mom of 2 DD, 20 and 29 (wonderful son in law, too). Grandma to Brady, born on my birthday 2018. Also mom to our fur baby, yellow/ orange colored kitty named Simba. He "chose" us after being born to a feral cat out in our horse barn. We also took in Simba's nephew Spike. Out of 3 kittens we trapped for neutering one decided to move in. He is just like his uncle Simba! Update: Cat #3 April 2013, Simona was a dump and clearly used to living indoors. We have rescued her. We have also taken care of ferrels, trapping them for spay/ neutering, shots, etc. We live in the country and have a horse barn to house them. Unfortunately our last 3 were poisoned, not sure if it was intentional or not, be we are heart broken over their loss. Updated 8/27/13 yet another indoor cat brings us to 4 inside. Another dump and rescue, Boo Boo kitty is a cry baby but so sweet and everyone gets along very well :) Fall 2014 came Cocoa Puff, a calico. A neighbor died and left 21 cats behind. The rescue lady placed all but Cocoa. We took her as a barn cat but by spring it was clear she was an indoor baby, so yes, 5 inside fur babies. Summer 2018 the neighbor abandoned the sweetest kitty ever who is slowing making his way into living in the house. He lives between the garage and the basement and spends days out in the barn "working" with my husband...just a matter of time until it's 6 inside.
I am a Swap-a-holic, I love all kinds of paper crafts. I love to cook and bake. My favorite color is green and I love anything to do with fall including the colors of fall. We have lived in KY since 2005, relocating from upstate NY where my folks still live. I drink hot tea, hot cocoa, diet coke and love candy!
I am an intermediate crochet and knitter. Mostly smaller projects like scarves, hats, dish cloths, and catnip toys, it's a great activity in front of the TV, keeps my hands busy and slows down my snacking :)

My paper crafting style is eclectic I would say, I am kind of "all over the board". I usually am thinking I would like sophisticated, vintage/ heritage, but I usually end up with more cutsie and whimsical projects. I like vintage/ altered but end up with lots of bright colors. So there isn't really anything that is out of the question for me!
As far as my personal style I guess that is eclectic too. I am somewhat conservative, I like vintage, classic and some modern styles. I work full time in an office, "business casual", but when I am out with friends I have been known to wear some crazy jewelry, bright colored accessories, funky scarves, etc. I wear a lot of brown, green, fall and neutral colors, but I also have a thing for purple.

There is not much I don't like or can't find a use for. I don't care for the taste of black licorice or anise. I don't enjoy "slasher" movies or anything too gory.

I really like handmade items, I am fascinated by those who knit, crochet, draw, bead, etc.

I really don't watch a lot of TV, in fact I don't know how to use the remote, so if home alone, I don't watch anything. Outside of the nightly news, I do enjoy:
Everybody Loves Raymond
Big Bang Theory
The Voice
This is Us (OMG, totally addicted)
2 movies I really enjoyed: Arthur (the remake), and Big Fish. Another older movie I caught not long ago and really liked was Evan Almighty.
I hardly read a book ever, just no time I guess. I read a LOT of magazines and enjoy them a lot, especially craft magazines and All You (Boo Hoo no more All you after 12/2015). I enjoyed:
The Christmas Blessing
Angela's Ashes
The Christmas Tree
The Green Mile
I read Bluegrass which is a true story about a college student who was raped and murdered in her dorm room at WKU in our small town of Bowling Green
