UPDATE 6.23.2010 - Our beloved baby sister is terminally ill. She and her son are moving in with us today so that I can help take care of her these last few weeks.
As you can imagine we are all distraught. I can't even contemplate what life will be like without Debbie. She's one of the "sun people" - you know - the kind of person that everyone else seems to gravitate toward simply because they love to be around her. She always made people laugh and feel good about themselves.
I won't have a lot of spare time to do swaps for a while. If I have time at all, I'll do one at a time.
I'm a mother of two, a daughter who is serious about everything and a son who finds humor in everything. They balance one another, and myself, out.
We have two dogs, a darling excessively spoiled pug puppy, and a pointy-shaped deer chihuahua who seems to be all elbows and knees.
I love vegetable pizza, paper, electricity (a must for air conditioning considering where I live - south Texas :), shrimp with ketchup, Tae Bo and dental floss.
I particularly enjoy doing altered art, paper crafts, paper wreaths, paper dolls, puzzle dolls, quilling, making row/paper houses and recycling old stuff into something new...such as turning old window frames into wall hangings.
I enjoy going to flea markets, garage sales and market days. I always manage to find little treasures I can use in crafting at them.

I don't particularly strongly dislike those mentioned below...to each his/her own....and I certainly wouldn't give a bad rating if I did receive them but they're just not my 'thing".
Religious themed items - but I do like Victorian angels
Kawaii stuff
Sewing & crochet related items
Post cards
Tea related stuff
Altered matchboxes
I don't join a lot of swaps at one time in order not to get bogged down and I rarely tag.
I will always send. Even when things come up in my life to make it difficult,(and it has) I still send.
I usually contact my partner two weeks after the mail deadline (for domestic swaps) if I haven't been rated to see if my package arrived.
However, if you are my partner in a swap and are concerned about your package for any reason, aren't happy with it, or think it doesn't meets swap requirements please feel free to contact me. I'll always try to make it right.
I believe it is the responsibility of the sender to contact his/her partner personally, if they are going to be late. Posting to the forums or updating profiles doesn't count.
I will always rate, generally immediately after I receive the swap. If for some reason you don't get rated please feel free to PM me.
I firmly believe that communication goes a long way toward solving most problems.
