Thanks ever so much for the CPG July wishes. Yes, I am very much a fan of Halloween, in the Highlands we went out guising (taken from the word disguising) and we would carry a lantern made from a turnip around with us. I could not imagine not ever having a lantern! We would ask if they had anything for Halloween and if yes they would ask us what are you going to do and you would have to do something to get a treat. Most people gave out monkey nuts but the odd person gave sweets or money. The most prized treat was a toffee apple or some tablet!
What a wonderful birthday surprise--I opened my mailbox to find lovely mail art from you, stuffed full of gorgeous variegated cottony goodness! These threads will be such a delight to play with, and will give me great creative inspiration as well as many many hours of relaxing meditative stitching. 4510 feels like a vibrant Autumn tree starting to shed its leaves. 4517 is a totally intriguing color combination. 4509 feels like hydrangeas and 4503 like lilacs. I think I'll experiment with 4506 making a field or wreath of wildflowers--freehanding as the color changes. And the soft sea blues/greens and pinks/corals are so delicate. I love them all! Thank you for thinking of me, dear friend. ♥
What a wonderful package (much more than a letter!) arrived for me. So beautifully put together -- LOVE LOVE the little paper sack everything came in. And all the goodies! You always send the coolest stuff. Thank you for another great Tag! CPG: Happy Mail Global Tag
