Hi, I'm Kristal! I'm 30 years old and a wife and mother of three beautiful girls ages 10, 4 and 3 months. Ever since I was pregnant with my first, I've been working from home as a primitive crafter, pattern designer, and web designer. I've been crafting for as long as I can remember, and have tried many different styles and crafts from basket making to soap making, but I always fall back to anything involving fabrics. For the past seven years or so I've been in love with primitives and colonial style dolls and other goodies. But I've recently fallen in love with the new indie wave of crafts. I've come a long way since my first craft show eight years ago, but I feel as if I still have a long journey ahead of me yet discovering who I am and what my true calling is in the crafting world.

primitive or early colonial goodies (handmade & antiques)

"spoolies" those cute little dolls made on a wooden spool
notebooks, journals, (especially handmade ones, but I also love cute cheap bought notebooks as I go through a lot of them!), note cards, handmade envelopes/cards, etc

accessories, jewelry, badges, brooches, etc
I love to receive candy wrappers, and unique images found on junk mail - I make them into pin back buttons/badges! For example, my favorite junk mail to cut up is Delia's Clothing magazine because they have images of t-shirt designs that fit perfectly in my 1" button maker! :)
old music sheets, dictionary pages, other cool ephemera for collages
magazines by somerset! (especially Art Journaling, Art Quilting, Sew Somerset, Artful Blogging, Green Craft, Inspirations, Prims, Apprentice, Life, Workshop, & Where Women Create) I would LOVE to receive any older copies you may have!!
handmade ornaments for any holiday - I have a year round tree that I like to decorate for every season and holiday! :)
OVERALL... I love dirty, grungy, early american, colonial, vintage goodies, but am currently in an affair with bright, colorful, cutesy stuff! he he I would love to receive just about anything that is in my style or colors that I like. :) Handmade goodies are always a plus!

receiving things in the mail that have pet hair or ciggarette smoke smell! Sorry, but I am highly alergic!
disney, or most other "brand name" or "commercial" stuff
I always put my heart into everything I make or mail out. I promise to mail my swaps out on time or early if possible. I love swapping for the enjoyment of putting a smile on someone's face and for connecting with people online. If anyone for any reason has a concern or complaint, please contact me and I will do my best to rectify the situation.
I try to rate fairly, and I promise to rate every swap I receive, so if I haven't rated you, please let me know! I like to reserve hearts for extra special packages. I won't necessarily give a heart if you send random extras, I would rather you spend your time making the swap special and putting your heart into it. :)
Here's a list of some stuff/supplies I usually have that I can swap with.
mica flakes
clear german glass glitter
walnut ink
safety pins
clear zip top baggies of all sizes
I'm always trying new crafts, and working on different things... Along with my ever growing primitive line (that can be seen on rags-n-tags.com), I'm currently making a lot of recycled crafts such as: plastic bead bowls, bottle cap necklaces, magnets, and keychains, vintage sheet fabric cuffs, pop tab bracelets, JuNk Pins (pin back buttons/badges made from candy wrappers and junk mail), flower hair clips, and fabric mushrooms. So, I could always use some fabric scraps, vintage sheets, buttons, colorful pop tabs, plastic pony beads, etc
I'm also dipping my feet into mixed media fabric collages, ATCs, painting, and other arts.

So! I was working on two amigurumi - possibly cupcake related and an animal. (An animal being a surprise between a sheep, panda, hedgehog, purcupine, cute owl, turtle, bird, elephant.) Know anyone that might like them?
^-^ Thank you for the adorable bottle cap key chain for the "new to me" tag game! It's so cool, it's definitely going on my key ring!!!
