I'm a 30-something single female in Nova Scotia.

I miss swapping...I'm hoping I can participate in some light postage swaps soon.

I'm a proud "failed foster" mom to a beautiful black kitty, named Ebby (Ebony Rose). She's fussy when it comes to treats but loves handmade cat toys, especially things that are crocheted. As a result of her coming into my life, I have become very into animal rescue, especially cat rescue and support as many of the local rescue groups as I am able.

I've struggled a lot with mental health issues...and am a self-injurer in recovery...it's been about 8 years with some mild blips. I still get urges when I'm stressed/overwhelmed but am able to work through it...but it used to control my life (like any addiction can). If you have questions about self harm, I'll do my best to answer them from my perspective.

I'm recently on a natural health kick and working it into a complete lifestyle change. That said, I still like my treats here and there....and my hard cider, love, love, love it, especially love to try new local varieties. :) LOL.

I like Sloths!!!, stars, crosses, short haired black kitties with yellow eyes. I like colours...earthy tones, grass green, chocolate brown, sky blue, teal/aqua (think tropical ocean) and orange for a bit of a pop. Oddly, I'm not really a fan of red for most things. I want to collect colorful and unique buttons and beads of all kinds and colours..

So I guess all that to say, I'm me. I'm unique. I'm random. I'm quiet and serious but a child at heart and an atypical sense of humor. I like to have fun...but blend in. I like subtle with a twist/pop. I'm a bit of a living contradiction.

I like a lot of different music...pretty much only type I don't like is anything with the whole screaming thing going on...

I also like relaxation music...you know the type with nature sounds like the ocean, or a thunderstorm, or a winding stream. I'll list more as I think of some.

Mostly I listen to Christian Worship Music on Spotify.

I sort of tend to like things a little bit indie or even a bit folky. If it's catchy but not too repetitive then there's a good chance I'll at least enjoy it for awhile.

I don't have cable or any subscription streaming services but have recently binged on Young Sheldon, Alf, The Ranch, and Who's the Boss. Oh, and Hope for Wildlife, a show that is produced locally by a wildlife rescuer.

Also liked in the not terribly distant past are The Walking Dead, Orange is the New Black, Wentworth, Big Bang Theory, and House.

I like quite a variety....really just depends on the day. I don't like Harlequin Romance though.

Gosh, I'm a sucker for Disney and Warner Brothers Movies.
I love Shrek and Juno.
I also like Freedom Writers, August Rush, The Soloist.
I like most movies with Robin Williams or Will Smith.

I also like suspense/thriller movies...especially if it's connected to medicine/medical things.

I like doing embroidery (new addiction), collages, abstract painting with acrylic or tole paints, and needle-felting. I have done some beadwork and would like to do some again soon. I also like playing around with chalk pastels. I've tried scrapbooking and loved it but can't get myself motivated to sit down and do any. I love scrapbooking decals and goodies though...I'm always drawn to them at Michael's when I go. I have started making ATC's...well, just a few. I guess I'm still a little worried the quality might not be good enough...possibly true or possibly just a fear of mine. I'm also looking forward to seeing other swappers creations. Basically, I will try most things but I tend to get obsessed for a bit and then bored very quickly...or easily intimidated. I've also tried button (pin) making and enjoy it but no longer have access to the equipment.

I want to try just about everything craft-wise but I really need hands on instruction to help me actually sit down and do it. I have a hard time focusing.

I do have allergies, but nothing that I think would cause a major problem (except maybe very strong scents and certain preservatives). If I got anything I couldn't use I would pass it on to someone else. No worries.

I try to avoid wheat/gluten, dairy, and soy. I'm not 100% strict on any of those but I definitely feel better if they aren't in my regular diet.

For those allergic to cats, I do have one and I will do my best to keep her from your items, but I can't guarantee anything....her fur gets EVERYWHERE and she's VERY nosy and into EVERYTHING.
