Good day art friends, I began doing paper crafting about 20 years ago when it was all the rage. I began doing scrapbooking pages for my children's memories, leading to card making, Stampin Up and a true addiction to ATC's. I love mixed media, collage, rolos, inchies, twinchies and anything to get my fingers sticky and dirty. I belong to a few swap groups.
I have been married 34 years, we have 2 adult children. My daughter is married to a wonderful man, they both thankfully live nearby and both of them work in the city of Chicago. They recently blessed us with our first Grandson, Landon. Landon seems to make my whole life sparkle in a way I've never felt before. My son is a former Special Operation Marine USMC Raider, he graduated UNCW Wilmington, NC. Magna Kum Laude in 2021 and secured a cyber security position with Forvis Financial, formerly Dixon Hughs Goodman based in Charlotte, NC.
I am a retired Information Technician having worked with the Barrington School District for 16 years, in Barrington, Illinois. I try to incorporate creativity into my day if it is at all possible. My husband is an architectural woodworker and is gifted with a lathe. He creates remarkable pieces.
I am also a watercolor artist. I belong to 3 National Urban Sketching groups . We paint what we see on location, it is great fun. I love to paint the homes of my friends and present them as gifts.
I love to read books, I read between 40-60 books a year. I'm a big fan of historic fiction, war nonfiction and biographies.
You can find me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. We have a summer place and I'm often there all summer creating swap pieces or watercolor painting.
I have tattoos. One tattoo that I am really proud of is on my top left foot edge, it reads "Una Vita Artistica" in Italian (An Artistic Life) so when I am toe tagged the technician will know just how I spent my life, with beautiful colors, creativity and creative people.
My favorite holiday is Halloween, 4th of July is a close second. I love doing swaps with holiday themes.
We recently purchased a Lake House for our summer season retirement home, we are excited to go boating and kayaking. I enjoy cooking and experimenting with different cooking techniques, and grilling food.
My favorite colors are green, teal and red. I incorporate a lot of pin up gals in my work, gosh I hope that is vintage. I love lots and lots of color and detail, I don't know when to stop, you will see my layers upon layers when we swap. If you see leaves on the artwork, it is most likely mine.
Thank you for reading all this info. It is nice to get to know each other. Salute.

Lizzie! I just received your bee-youtiful ATC as a bonus, and itβs even lovelier in real life than in the photo! And I spy, with my little eye, a wee bee charm! I have to know...it the little βframeβ made of German glass glitter? I am drooling...
