Handbag/ purse silliness

Oooooh! This one is right up my alley! GREAT idea, Helen! I am SO in! ;oP

I just made a new handbag today ^___^ I'm in ! I'll dump it in a month to sew what stupid stuff I've managed to stock in it !

This is an adorable idea. Reminds me of the old game show Let's Make A Deal. Monty Hall would call out something outrageous and the first woman who had it in her purse won a prize. Once when I was out shopping I looked in my purse and found a stainless steel fork. How it got there, I am not sure! :-)

Is there a price range on the little gift?

And from where I live in Australia a handbag is a handbag and a purse is like a wallet ;D

I'm a little embarrassed already...I have lots of junk in my purse some of which I have no idea why I lug it around every day. But I promise not to do any pre-cleaning prior to taking inventory. This sounds like a fun swap! Thanks.

Wow! I'm really pleased how many people have signed up overnight. ( well I know it was probably daytme to you when you signed up but it was overnight to me!)

To answew a question. I didn't put a gift vaule on the swap becuase I know a lot of people can't afford or get put off by swaps like that. Just make it something really nice to have ( which si not eth same as expensive) and something you personally can aford to buy and post (or make of course.

Oh! This sounds like so much fun! I'd love to participate, but I'm be getting married on June 9th, theday the swap closes, and I'll be on my honeymoon on the ship date. I almost cleaned out my purse today but refrained! I did throw away a couple gum wrappers. Is that allowed. :-)

I love the theme of this swap. I just re-organized my handbag but I'm sure it'll be back to "normal" in time to send out my list and item. Cheers.

From the description, it looks like you send something new. Used mints or lipgloss or a hairbrush isn't all that sanitary.

Yes, send somthing new (bought or made but nice!) For those of your desperate to clean up or swap purses juts write the list now ready to send. Whay wait a month - because the longer the sign up the more chance I get to the No 1 swapa nd the last time that happened I got such a buzz out of you all confirming that I'd had a good idea!!! Oh plus on another swap I had a few messages saying people had signed up for all the swaps they could afford for that month and could I give a longer sign up so they had another pay day... so I tried to anticipate that on this one.

Oh! I love this idea... This will be lots of fun, the unique thing that never exists in my handbag is order :D You'll see ;) I'm in for this.

I wanted to dump my purse a while back so i could change it over, but still haven't! So that means more STUFF...someday I'll actually do it though, LOL One thing that's funny though is that I often times put things back in my old purse and don't change it over to the new one, nor do I throw it away! I have an old purse right here my by comp that is like a year and a half that I don't use it, and there are still business cards etc in there! How strange, huh?

Ok, my list and goodies are ready to mail, i cleaned out my purse this weekend, and I must say, i am so embarrassed, and amused too!! Yikes, who would have known all that was in there??? I think I need a smaller purse!! ;)

Wow, too many familiar comments. I feel that someone already knows what's in my purse or should I say purses. Once it's full I look for an empty one. Does small paper tote bags count, because if I'm in a hurry and have no time to stuff my purse, I grab a cute paper tote bag a fill it too with "stuff". I too own a few "black hole" purses. I was so excited to receive my suprise of a gorgeous pass case and a package of kleenex...once again thank you and I am so sorry i was late in sending my items but on June 11 2007 my husband passed away and I was unable to focus on anything but I have since sent my items.

May I borrow the idea for your swap and make one of my own but with a twist? I'd like to start a swap with the same idea but instead of detailing the items in a letter, you snap a picture of all the things in your purse. And attached to the pic is a post-it listing all the junk. :) i thought my idea was unique but i wasn't sure so i typed it in the search just in case and yours popped up. get back to me please.
