Description:

Hello,

Depending on where you live, it's time to sow your vegetable. The goal of this swap is to exchange seeds from other gardner enthousiasts. Do you have a special seed? An own kind of hybrid seed? Or just a seed that you want to share with others across the world? Then you are at the right swap!

Are you a beginner and want to give a try at growing your own veggies? Sign right up and join the adventure.

Will close this swap in 2 weeks from posting it. To make sure ample time for seeds to arrive.

You will have 2 partners. So I need at least 3 people to sign up. Not that I want to sway you with my lovely seeds, but they are awesome 😜😜.

It is also a nice way to connect with other gardners. To share stories, to form a friendship. If you love snail mail as much as I do, you may find a new friend.

The idea is to grow your received seeds, tips and tricks with your partners. You might even receive the wonderful seed of friendship. If you catch my drift.

This will be a flat snail mail swap. Your seeds should fit into an envelope. In order to maximize your chance of succesful growing said vegetable, a minimum of 5 seeds is required.

A tip: best to check where your partners live, so that you wont send a seed that will never grow. Weather conditions and such.

Feel free to ask any questions.

REQUIREMENT:

  1. A minimum of 5 seeds per partner.
  2. Rate a 5 when you receiced your seeds (even if you not like them).
  3. Explain a bit why that particular seed. Are you proud of it? Do share your feelings/thoughts.

Optional:

  1. Make a photo of your succes and send them to your partner. Of course this is when you don't forget or when this swap ends you with a new writing buddy.

There are very strict international rules regarding plant material to prevent invasive species. I strongly urge you to change this to include your country only. Not only is it a legal issue meaning customs can seize packages but it’s a moral issue as well. I’m sure no one wants to start an invasive species in their country or somewhere else in the world.

I agree with thebragal, and U.S. swappers should not take part in this swap. According to stamps.com, "international mail, plants (along with seeds, plant materials, fruits and vegetables), are subject to the USPS prohibitions and restrictions as well as the quarantine regulations of the destination country."

I totally love this swap idea, tank you. Can't wait to participate. By the way I swap seeds on FB like a lot of people because we promote biodiversity and saving rare varieties. Nothing to be afraid of. Except from..... the terrible invasive tomato Yahahahahaha !!!!!

If someone didn't set up a seed swap, I was going to do so! It IS important to save rare heritage varieties & diversify a crop! I agree with, bundi! It's also important to not allow governments to control our food supply. (Too much of that has already been going on.) People can responsibly use green houses, raised beds or containers, to pacify the scare tactics of bureaucracy.
