Im in a Watercolor class its a mixed group beginners through advanced. Once in a while the instructor throws out challenges for the whole class. Its often something to do with color and design, something we use without thinking about it. The newbies in the class get to learn something and the rest of us get to prove we actually know what she is talking about.

So for for this swap use a split complementary color scheme for your painting / drawing. Split complimentary color schemes are from finding compliments, say yellow and purple, ( my favorites) then choosing the colors on either side of the complement - like blue violet an red violet. a good source for information on color is www. colors-4life.com

Back to actual swap requirements this swap will be a 5x7 inch painting / drawing any medium, (paint, colored pencil etc.). Use a split complimentary color scheme. This is a one for one swap. Make sure your painting / drawing is packaged durable and can hold up to being mailed. Include the name of the colors you used. Don't for get to put the name of the swap and your information on the back of your art.
