Response: I'm glad you like them. The flower square is an adaptation of a pattern I found in this book -- Granny squares now : dozens of fresh takes on a crochet classic / Susan Cottrell.
The other is made using a diagonal box stitch, which my mom taught me long, long ago.
Response: Oh, I'm glad it got there all right. I was a bit worried about the glass jam jar--hence the big mailing box with lots of packing--all recycled :) That was my first attempt making raspberry jam; I have to admit I nearly swooned in delight with the first taste. I really enjoyed the "Blue" CD mix with its variety in artists--Bob Dylan to Neil Diamond to Eve's Plum! I ended up burning a copy for myself to sing along to in the car.
PS: Good luck with your run!
Response: I'm glad you liked it. As I went along, I found that this project had definite ideas about how it wanted to turn out. Who was I to argue?
Response: And I started grinning when I read of your music favs in your profile. Might I congratulate you on your fine taste in music? The Cure poster/pictures are from ephemera I picked up at the Wish Tour in the Γ’β¬Λ90s. Is it odd that when I think back over the years since I heard my first Cure songs (Lovecats and LetΓ’β¬β’s Go to Bed) how each journey or adventure has some underlying Cure song to it? Whoops! Just wandering down memory lane hereΓ’β¬Β¦.now I gotta go listen to some Robert Smith.
