My name is Lisa and I have been a professional freelance calligrapher in Santa Monica, CA for over 20 years( ! ). I have a BA in art and am a self taught lettering artist. I thoroughly enjoy what I do! I love the tactile nature of it...the pens, the paint, paper textures. I love the happy accidents that occur spontaneously!

Reggae is a favorite of mine. There's something about the beat and the rhythms that touch my soul. I also like jazz, blues, alternative, classic rock and some classical music. I'm currently hooked on the music from Wicked!

A friend of mine introduced me to altered books. I LOVE making them! I've done several as gifts. I'm definitely inspired when I think of the recipient. colors, quotes, textures, dimensional goodies...thought provoking, creatively challenging...and so much fun! I'm currently into making charm bracelets as well.

I'm looking forward to building up my ATC repertoire and growing creatively. Can't wait to get started and see what everyone else is doing too!
