I am a teaching assistant in a Montessori classroom who also works at a retail store, and of Filipino-Chinese descent. In my spare time, I like to kickbox, practice jiu jitsu, wall climb, or do yoga (I used to teach hot yoga!), make lots of rubber stamped/heat-embossed cards, bake vegan/gluten-free stuff, watch video games, travel, and give free massages. I am now focusing on living a more off-the-grid life. I am trying to buy a house with my husband, adopt a rescue dog and cat, raise chickens and red worms, grow fruits and vegetables, make beer and kombucha, and learn the Strumstick!
I love animals, (especially dogs as I had them growing up), dark chocolate, coffee, green tea, anything almond/honey, as well as all kinds of crafty and vintage stuff. I am fascinated with nesting dolls, hula girls, skulls, Our Lady of Guadalupe, mermaids, and the mythic ideas of Appalachia and Acadia. I also like seahorses, Dala horses, rocking chairs, pussywillows, ranunculi, and sailor-tattoo/pinup art hearts and sparrows. I love to read YA fiction, fantasy, sustainability issues, and non-yaoi manga. Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors.
One day, I will learn to make soap and candles, raise bees, rabbits and goats, and learn to knit, crochet and sew. I am especially fond of the colors royal blue, scarlet, tiffany/turquoise blue, lemon yellow, apple green, platinum and gold.
