I am currently in grad school working on my PhD.

I am a vegetarian: I do eat dairy and eggs but I do not eat meat or seafood.

I love tea but I don't drink caffeine.

I volunteer every holiday season with the Angel Card Project (link above). I send out cards to people who were nominated by their loved ones to receive some holiday cheer in the mail! My goal for 2022 is to send cards to the whole list, which would likely mean sending nearly a thousand cards. So, I've started working on them already lol.

Update 12/19/22: I did not meet my goal of sending cards to the entire list, but I did send out 75 cards. Thank you so much to everyone who sent me supplies, it all got used! The goal for next year will be 100 cards!

My favorite music lies somewhere between rock and roll and hip hop. Favorite bands include Fun, Evanessence, and Imagine Dragons.

I am also partial to show tunes, my favorite musicals are Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, and many classic Disney movies.

I don't read as much as I would like, but when I do it's generally young adult fiction, romance novels, or comedy.

Although, in a completely different genre, I recently really enjoyed Motherhood by Sheila Heti, a literary novel exploring the decision whether or not to have children.

I love kids' movies, superhero movies, and comedies. Marvel Cinematic Universe is always a winner for me. I think my favorite MCU hero is Peter Quill.

Update: One of my New Years resolutions for 2022 is to watch the entirety of the MCU in release order, so I'll let you know how that goes!

Lately I have been playing a ton of Pokemon Go, I like that it forces me to go outside and has a strong collecting element. Message me for my friend code!
