Mainly reading and crochet. I just finished a beanie and beard for a little boy I know and now am working on a dog sweater but it's not going so well.
Also Knitting, Book-making, Baking, Sketching (still learning), Journalling, Photography.
I have recently become interested in leather-crafting but haven't tried it yet. I plan to make a Midori style travelers notebook.
I am also planning to create a "slam book" for my kids similar to what I had when I was in school.
When I have time to read for myself, I usually choose Historical fiction: particularly Antebellum South, post-civil war US, and something from Chinese & Japanese culture. Some of my favorites are Cane River and Red River by Lalita Tademy, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See, and Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden.
I enjoy reading with my children. Here are a few of our favorites: Understood Betsy, A Little Princess, Anne of Green Gables, The Princess and the Goblin, The Little Duke, & The Chronicles of Narnia.
Right now I'm reading Daring Greatly by BrenΓΒ© Brown.
Washi tape, Markers, Pens (especially Sharpies or any fine felt tip 0.5 or 0.7 mm), Paper, Stationery for me or my girls, Stickers, Interesting buttons, Rubber stamps, Anything Cavallini, Watercolors, Composition notebooks, Moleskines, Staples Arc Expansion discs any size, Levenger Aluminum Circa Discs large, Midori style inserts, anything i can use in my planners or for pen palling, anything from my Pinterest wish list.

I am so excited to get started swapping! I joined this site years ago but life quickly became too busy as I'd just had a baby and began to homeschool my other children soon after.
I am finally at a point of balance and have been working on taking time for myself and doing the things I love. I realized that to be a better wife and mother I needed to spend time feeding my soul and doing these swaps is one way to do that! Hence, I'm still a newbie and I try very hard to follow all directions and read the FAQ. I'm not a FLAKE and am serious about earning a high rating and keeping it. If you do not receive a swap from me, PLEASE contact me FIRST before rating me.
I would love to see a commonplace or quote journal swap in a large size Molkeskine cahier!
I am 39 years old, married 12 years, mother of 1 adult son, and 4 daughters ages 16, 9, 5, and 1. I'm a step-mother and a foster mother.
Motherhood is my main identity and im ok with that. It's what inspires me to live, do, and be my best. Already my 9 year old has expressed interest in my pen pal swap, wants a pen pal for herself, and is mailing a letter to a friend today!
My husband and I enjoy historic homes tours and dream of living in and restoring an old home, castle, or church. We also dream of living in South America or Europe.
My favorite TV shows are House Hunters International, Castle Hunters, Fixer Upper, Shark Tank, The Profit, Downton Abbey, & Scandal. I enjoy the History Channel when they actually have shows about history. :/
Some of my favorite movies are Belle, Lorna Doon and Emma.
We have 1 cat we found in the woods named Bella, and 2 rescued dogs, Fergie, a ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and our newest fur-baby Jack, a white poodle mix (possibly shih tzu).
My main planner is a Moleskine Bullet Journal (http://bulletjournal.com/). I love it and love using washi and rubber stamps in it.
My homeschool planner is a Staples Arc with homemade pages and free internet printables.
My prayer binder is a Wilson Jones A5 sized binder with DIY dividers and cut down notebook paper. I want to transfer it to a 6-3/4" x 8-3/4" Arc.
Jewel tones and earth tones are my favorite but I do enjoy all colors except maybe neons.
I love patterns and interesting color combos. In the past I've been in love with brown and robin's egg blue, gray and yellow, and retro blue and red.
At the moment I adore chevrons, damask, and quatrefoil.
