March 12, 2022: Big news here! I got married today! For those of you who are familiar swap partners you will notice Iโve changed my last name to that of my husband. Everything else is the same.
Hello everyone! I live in a beautiful New England town in a quirky old cottage that was built in 1830. It may or may not be haunted.
My avatar is my sweet German shepherd girl Zoey. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in January 2017 at age 14. She was very special. I miss her every day and will love her always.
I have a cat who was adopted from a local animal shelter. Her name is Zelda Mae and she is a pretty grey/white tabby with green eyes and very soft fur. Due to a change in my Mom's living situation I have taken in her Siamese cat, a beautiful girl named Sassy Lin. When it comes to animals I am a big advocate for "adopt don't shop."
I pledge to send my swaps on time and rate promptly! If you haven't received something from me or if I've omitted or overlooked a swap requirement (accidents do happen) I am happy to re-send. Please reach out to me before leaving a negative rating so that I can make it right.
I really enjoy today's country music. Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Parmalee, Kip Moore, Midland, Brothers Osborne and Neon Union are some favorites. I can also take it old school with Johnny Cash. Seriously, the Man in Black is awesome! Love The Wallflowers. And I can't forget The New York Dolls! (70's glam rock fun!) The song Estranged by Guns 'N Roses is an all time favorite.
I will read anything that I find intriguing or interesting but I especially like mysteries with a supernatural element. Those vintage Gothic novels from the 1960's and 1970's are a true guilty pleasure! Growing up I loved the Nancy Drew mysteries and I so wanted to be her (boyfriend and cool car included)! I've recently become quite interested in Feng Shui so I've been looking for books on that subject. Biographies and autobiographies can also be of interest. Favorite time periods/settings include the 1970s, Scandinavia, New York City at the turn of the 20th century and the Great Depression.
I'm all over the road with this one... film noir like the Maltese Falcon and Macao are timeless. Alfred Hitchcock's Lifeboat is a definite favorite. If I come across Jaws or The Green Mile chances are I won't change the channel. I loved Never Let Me Go (and the book too). A comedy that can make you laugh out loud is always a winner. I saw We're The Millers in the movie theatre with my cousin and we still laugh about it. I also really like Streets of Fire, Dog Day Afternoon, Double Indemnity, Baby Driver, The Prestige, The Breakfast Club and A League Of Their Own.
Well... I do like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. I try to catch the local news at least once a day. I enjoy cooking shows like Chopped, Guy's Grocery Games and Beat Bobby Flay. Seinfeld is always good for a laugh. Remember the sitcom Wings? On a contemporary note I am really enjoying This Is Us. The true crime/homicide/forensic stuff fascinates me. (I still want to be Nancy Drew!) My Mom likes Say Yes To The Dress and when I'm visiting with her we will often watch that together. I like finding a series as it eliminates the โwhat do you want to watchโ dilemma (at least until itโs finished). Iโve enjoyed Yellowstone, The Bear, Lawmen Bass Reeves, Beef, Joe Pickett, Breaking Bad, Carnivale, Ozark, Dr Death, The Haunting of Hill House, Dopesick, Billy the Kidโฆ Iโm always open to recommendations.
I like putting together picture album scrapbooks although finding the time to dedicate to do this is a challenge.
German shepherd dogs, Game of Thrones, the color pink, anything with glitter and sparkle, polar bears, the moon, roses and sunflowers, cardinal birds, vintage Pyrex, black cats (my daughter has a one-eyed black cat named Alastor), things with leopard spots, ocean beaches, a good cup of coffee...

When swapping postcards I do prefer to receive mine written on and stamped (naked). I like keeping in line with the original intent of how the card should be sent and any bumps and bruises it may acquire along the way are all a part of its journey.
I've recently become intrigued by the idea of putting together a Franken Deck of Cards. (So far I only have one card and a long way to go!) I will gladly accept any playing cards anyone wants to send me. I am happy to reciprocate by sending you something in return :)
Mailing preference: Address it, stamp it, and send it! The bumps and bruises it might receive along the way are part of its journey.
Donโt be afraid to send me those vintage postcards!
