About Me

My favorite color is GREEN!

As of April 2015, I am a czt and totally addicted to tangling. I also hold classes in zentangle.

I love things from nature like trees, leaves, butterflies, flowers and birds. Even fairies and goddesses make me smile. I love to make art! And I love to receive something handmade from you. I love to make art dolls and altered books, which include tip-ins and chunky pages.

Sometimes for fun and more creativity I make a few ATCs, decos, altered tins... I love to try new art projects... And I knit when I want to relax. Sometimes I sew, quilt and crochet, too.

Favorite Books

I love to read! I like cozy mysteries, darker mysteries, non-fiction, and sometimes even a young adult book or two.

What I like to Receive

I love to receive handmade items! Some of the things I just love that I've received from swaps here on swap-bot so far include... a beautiful quiltie, dotee dolls, a handmade quilt, knitted prayer shawl, knitted washcloth with handmade soap, knitted dish rags, painted spoon ornament, tip-ins, altered book, sewn pin cushion, mini-fairy doll, a wonderful painting of Happiness... so many wonderful swappers here! Even a handmade deco page or ATC would be appreciated. I find so much inspiration in seeing what someone else has made.

Did I mention that my favorite color is GREEN...

What I don't want: please no strong smells, like perfume, bath stuff or incense. I'm vegan, so nothing about farm animals or meat.

Comment: Fabulous pictures -- they absolutely evoke autumn! I can feel the cold bite in the air and smell the wood smoke as I look at them. I love the yellow and orange leaf pictures -- such vivid colours. And that is an absolutely fascinating seed pod -- I've never seen anything like it! Do you know what plant it's from? And the flowers and pumpkin work so well together as a composition. Well done!

Comment: Great pictures and great interpretations of the categories. That wet bench must have been really annoying -- but at least it provided you with a subject for your picture! That purple seed is so unusual.

Response: Yes, the wet bench was irritating after I got sticky on the seat of my pants.Glad it was of use in the photo scavenger hunt.

Comment: Thanks for sharing your lovely photos. The seed head looks very interesting. And, I used to geocache. :) Started back in the early days. Played for about a decade from 2001-2010. It was great being part of the growing pastime when GPS units were a new device. Now I do an Adventure Lab now and then. I think I've finished 10 of those so far.

Response: Thanks for the thoughtful comment and rating and heart! Maslow's hierarchy of needs has food, shelter and such as the base of physiological needs. Next comes safety. Third is love and belonging, like you mention family. Fourth is esteem, respect and recognition and the top (fifth level) is actualization, which is purpose.
