I'm the youngest of 4 kids, two sisters and a brother. My family is originally from Argentina but I was the first to be born in the US. I was born in Ft. Walton Beach and moved to Jacksonville when I was about 4 yrs old. I've been here ever since! I have always lived near the beach and that's where my heart is. I could lay there all day, snacking on some pineapples, jamming to my mp3 player, and be in a peaceful state of mind. Love the smell of the saltwater ocean, the sound of the waves crashing.
I am currently getting back to my roots: ART! I was such an art geek throughout my school years. The biggest thrill for me was having my painting on display at a local art gallery when I was only in 4th grade. That experience definitely boosted my confidence and I started to expand my skills. I used to sew like a maniac back in the day, making Barbie dresses and whatnot. In high school, I made dresses, skirts, and stuffed animals. I need to work the kinks in that area before I do any swaps involved with sewing! I'm starting out in scrapbooking and I also dabble i photography on occassion. But as of lately, I've been on an ATC kick. They are SO much fun to make and I just love how mine turn out. Not to brag, but I think I'm getting really good, too! :)
*****About my 1 rating****** Not too long after I was assigned partners for the October bday swap, I was let-go from an amazing company due to downsizing. Unfortunately, I was very broke and couldn't even afford to buy my family gifts for Christmas, which really bothered me. Basically, I was living on the little money that I had and working a very part time job on the side.
Fast forward to now, and I'm working full time now and after finally catching up on my bills, I have a little extra money to spare on shipping for swaps! So please, do not let my only "1" rating affect my ability to join swaps. I stayed away from Swap-bot until I was ready and I missed it so much! I love art and being crafty.
I love John Mayer. His music. His guitar skills. His hair. His voice. His lips. You get the point. lol
U2, Maroon 5, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Madonna, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Pussycat Dolls (they are so catchy), Pink, 90's "rock", 80's music especially Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, Duran Duran, Wham!, etc......
DISLIKE: honky tonk country, Marilyn Manson, Insane Clown Posse, hard-core gangsta rap,
GUILTY PLEASURES: Musicals! Boy, I dig some musicals! My faves are Grease, Chicago, Mama Mia, and Rent! I'm open to any, really. I just think they are so much fun to listen and watch. :) And I have this soft spot for boybands.....hardcore BSB fan back in the day. Represent.
The V.C. Andrews' books. I really enjoyed the Ruby series, that was a good one.
Nicholas Sparks. I read "Nights in Rondanthe" a few years ago. A Bend in the Road. The Notebook.
He's Just Not That Into You. Read that 3 years ago after I had my heart broken. Saw the movie this year after dating another jerk. Good movie and book! lol
And of course, the Twilight series. I've read them all and can't wait for Eclipse to hit the theaters!
Just starting to read Jennifer Weiner's books, too. I'm on my first one, "Certain Girls". I'm a fan of Chick Lit :)
The Notebook, Clueless, Cruel Intentions, Grease, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Sense and Sensibility, Chasing Amy, Dogma,The Dark Knight, The X Men trilogy, Spiderman Trilogy, Star Wars (all six of them, but Return of the Jedi is my #1), The Bourne Identity trilogy, Transformers, Iron Man, 27 Dresses, Knocked Up, Wedding Crashers, Borat, He's Just Not That Into You,Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Grudge, pretty much any original japanese horror movie is amazing, Audrey Hepburn movies especially Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Goonies, Sixteen Candles, Splash, and alot more. hehehe
Reality TV is my weakness: American Idol, America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, Kell on Earth, Millionaire Matchmaker, Top Chef, Celebrity Fit Club, The Hills, Girls Next Door, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Diners Drive Ins and Dives
Then there's: Gossip Girl ( i love Gossip Girl like you wouldn't believe!), Gilmore Girls, Desperate Housewives, Life Unexpected, Fringe,Friends, Felicity, Dawson's Creek, Heroes, The Office
Any embellishments are welcomed!
Anything vintage=love! Pictures, random advertisements, postcards, books, old dolls, whatever. I'm in to that. And by vintage, I don't mean 1980's, been there. I would prefer anything 1960 and earlier......to the early 1900's.
And with that said, Victorian era collectibles. Not anything expensive, but I like knick knacks, books, bookmarks, etc that remind me of Jane Austen and all of her wonderful books!
Parisian inspired photographs, travel brochures, knick knacks, etc...especially black and white. I want to go to Paris one day. :)
Audrey Hepburn collectibles like photos, pins, bookmarks, anything
Shabby chic items, not too country but more chic oriented.
Anything John Mayer related
Fairies, but not Tinkerbell. She's cute and all, but I like the mystical fairies.
Earrings! I like anything that's sparkly and cute. If you're familiar with Tarina Tarantino or Besty Johnson earrings, that's the style I like. Also any thing chic and glam.
Headbands. Polka dots, bows, little sparkly things, whatever. Gotta do something with my hair.
CHOCOLATE! It's the key to my heart! Even cheap chocolate, I'm not picky. I also love candy bars like Snickers, Milky Way w/ the extra caramel, and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
Pens. I like really neat, original pens.
Really cute notecards. I use them here and there to keep in contact with my friends in other states.
Scrapbook stuff to help me get started since I'm a newbie in that area. Any sort of stickers, embellishments are greatly appreciated.
Really cute, vintage looking paper dolls. They can be as vintage as the 80's (hahahaha) to even the Victoria area. I'm a girl who loves dolls!
Rings. I think those are my second fave jewelry next to earrings. Nothing to gawdy, but I do like anything original, vintage, cute, cameo inspired, victorian theme
My favorite color is pink, the nice pale pink. Not hot pink. No, no, no.
Speaking of colors, I think pink & brown and blue & brown are awesome combinations. Love it!
I don't have kids, but I tend to spoil my dog. He's a daschund named Murphy. He doesn't like clothes (but I like to put him in shirts...lol) but he LOVES toys and treats! So extra points for that!
ALSO, if you happen to be sending me a swap and you are from overseas, I would really like something that comes only from your country, like a magazine, pictures, postcards, magnet, keychain.....anything to surprise me! I love getting international souverniers. Same goes for you too. If you would like something from Florida, I have access to ALOTS of Disney items

I saw you say on your likes list that there's not a Sanrio store in Jacksonville...I found a place that sells Sanrio goodies!!! It's at the Landing -- it's called the Toy Factory.
They have a decent selection. There are bento boxes, sticker sacks, plush, sticker sheets, pens, letter sets, and more! I got some goodies there! :D
Just thought I'd share! :hugs:
