Hello, my name is Zia. I am originally from NYC; now living in Arizona. I've been a crafter since I was 9 years old. It started when my mother purchased a set of watercolor pencils and crayons, and the rest is history. I have many hobbies, but my favorite hobby is mixed media art I've also been beading since 1988, way before it became the crazy craze that it is today. My background is in Psychology, but I often wonder where I’d be if I had followed my heart and chosen Art and Design ...but still, I have a place for all that dreaming - and it's a quiet place where colors come to life and nothing else matters, but what you see inside your head - that little paint brush and a crispy white stretched canvas in front of you... I enjoy exploring and expanding my skills, sharing my passion with others. Networking is a wonderful thing. I’ve been absent from swapbot for awhile but I’m back and ready to connect with like minds.

Alternative, electronica, some classical, indie, down tempo, salsa, some jazz and R&B. I enjoy most music except hard rap and heavy metal.

Beading, paper crafts, painting (since I was 8 y/o), decoupaging, papier mache, some sewing projects. I've dabble with glass fusing, and other glass material as well. I also enjoy collecting photography from the 1920's and 40's; especially Vintage photos of women. I love all kinds of paper; homemade, decorative, all kinds - I currently collect homemade paper for collage art. I also love bohemian fabric like the kind from India.

I love staring into the sutleties of nature, and it's ever changing phases. I enjoy photography. I love shopping and long walks. I also enjoy creating my own scents with essential oils and other secret ingredients. I enjoy road trips - would rather drive any day over flying. I enjoy Antiquing, I also enjoy collecting quotes, I also love to cook, and spend time with the people I love because life is too short and family and friends are what it’s all about right?
