***Im not sure if it has to do with the COVID insanity or just a problem with my local Post Office but for some reason a stack of outgoing mail (that was addressed correctly with sufficient postage/custom’s forms, etc) was returned to my mailbox yesterday. My husband, trying to be helpful, brought everything to our city’s post office and mailed it from there for me. Although very helpful and thoughtful I now have no idea what came back or what might be late so I can’t even message partners to let them know! All he said was it was “a stack” and that some of them were fat... so I’m assuming seed and tea swaps. :( If you are overdue for a swap from me please bear with me and let me know! I’d be happy to resend or do whatever I can to make it right! I’ve only been swapping since January and now I’m afraid of earning 1’s and being prohibited from swaps, so I would really really appreciate everyone’s patience as I sort this issue out. Thank you SO much!
Brand New to Swap Bot as of January 2020! I’m excited to start learning and swapping. My New Year Resolutions were to find a new hobby and reach out to make more personal connections and it looks like I have found a way to do both here.
I’m a veterinary technician by trade and I’ve worked in the animal field for over 20 years so I’m a huge animal lover. I’m not only a companion animal lover but also a lover of wildlife, exotic/aquatic animals, fish... not a huge fan of spiders but I find other insects interesting.
I’m a nature lover... my family and I spend a lot of time hiking with our two dogs and camping. I’ve always found the water to be soothing... from oceans to ponds. I love collecting sea glass, stones, shells, even interesting leaves. I’m a huge supporter of conservation of our wild spaces; a tree hugger in a good way. I live on the edge of the Adirondacks, in the part of Upstate NY thats considered the Tug Hill Region- know for some of the best snowmobiling and ATV riding in the US.
I’m interested in wildcraft, foraging, homesteading and natural remedies... researching how different plants and herbs have been historically used. I make my own natural cleaning products and soap and this year I'll be growing a special garden dedicated to herbs used in tea making.
I’m a avid gardener and preserve a lot of what I grow. I spend all spring and summer digging happily in the dirt, all of late summer and fall canning and preserving for winter and all winter planning my garden and dreaming of spring. I live in Upstate NY (zone 5a) so winter takes up a huge chunk of our year here.
I enjoy cooking and baking and am always happy to receive new recipes! My only major dislikes are lamb/veal/mushrooms/bananas/artificial fruit flavors. I love ethic foods and authentic recipes.
I’ve practiced yoga for the past 10 years and I meditate daily. Its become second nature and it’s so important to my wellbeing... it helps me deal with not only some of my physical issues, but improves my mental health greatly.
I’m obsessed with tea. It’s my guilty pleasure. I use it medicinally for my family but mostly it’s a treat for me! Nothing winds me down faster at night then a cup of tea and a good book. I like tea of all kinds and prefer caffeinated. I especially enjoy rooibus and white teas lately.
I’m an avid reader and will read anything. My favorite authors are Steven King and Neil Gaiman. My favorite poet is Andrea Gibson. My favorite series are The Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Outlander and The Dark Tower. I will read almost anything and I read quickly, so book suggestions are always welcome.
I consider myself pagan (which really just means non-Christian, no need to jump to the conclusion I eat babies and worship the devil). Nature is my church. I believe in the inherent good in all of us, I practice kindness in all aspects of my life and I believe there is magic everywhere. I’m interested in all things metaphysical. Crystals/Gemstones, Reiki, energy healing, chakras, tantra, numerology, astrology, auras, runes, fairies, you name it! I read tarot cards and I’m studying tasseography (divination by reading tea leaves). if you are interested in an oracle or tarot reading shoot me a message, I buy new decks constantly and the best way to learn them is by practicing so I offer friends and family free readings.
I'm a music lover, my favorite artist is P!nk. I dont really like a lot of the new rap that's out, ganster rap or death metal but thats about it. My playlists tend to confuse people that dont know me because they jump from Frank Sinatra to Eminem to Garth Brooks to The Grateful Dead to Mozart.
I like crafting but I don't consider myself to be very artistic. I do crochet (poorly, lol, I do it more because its relaxing). I want to get some supplies soon to papercraft so I can start making homemade cards. Since joining SB I've taken up origami so that I can include some in my swaps... for now I'm swappin' on a budget but I figured that would be a cheap way to incorporate something I made.
I’m always open to learning about and trying new things and I dislike profiles that have more dislikes then likes and personal information on them so I wont list many.... but anything with violence against children or animals, prejudice or hate is a strong no for me. I’m not a fan of sports.
I rate as soon as I receive my items. Please do the same for me!
If you don’t receive something please let me know, I’ll gladly resend. Although it’s rare sometimes the post office in my teeny tiny town does weird things and my mail sometimes seem slower then other places we’ve lived.

I came to read your profile, because I got your name for a swap. I think you may be a kindred spirit! haha. I'll write a little letter with your tea :)
Welcome to Swap-bot! =)
