Hi, the first thing I would like you to read is about the mail times.
Our mail is only picked up here ONCE a day, Monday though Friday. We no longer have Sat. mail pickup right in our neighbourhood,
I love nice bright postage stamps on my mail, and anyone using those will almost always get a heart as long as the swap deserves a five. AND if you happen to use Zazzle or any personalized computer generated postage or anything like that I would love it. I think it's great to get something that is unique.
Also please note that for whatever reason, items being sent to the USA almost always take at least 2 weeks and sometimes up to 3 weeks to get where they are going. Items over seas will actually get to their destination a lot sooner depending on where overseas it's going.
PLEASE if you don't get your swap, let me know and I will resend.
Thanks for your understanding.
My favourite craft is counted cross stitch. I've been stitching for 20 + years.
I only stitched once in awhile for the first few years, then almost 10 years ago, my daughter and I were on holiday in England. We found some of the most beautiful cross stitch magazines. We couldn't resist buying them.
So I was hooked. We bought everything we needed to start stitching right then and there.
In the evenings after a long day of sightseeing, we would stitch. And we stitched on the trains. It was so much fun. Now I am totally hooked.
I also do some scrapbooking and card making. I'm not as creative at those items as I would like to be, but it's fun anyhow.
I am really enjoying working on ATC's.
I am an avid stamp and postcard collector as well.
And even though I'm not a pro, I love taking photographs of everything from big ships down to bugs on tree branches.
I would really like to get some polymar clay. Any colour would be nice.
Any postcards. They can be new or used. For any postcard swaps, I don't mind holiday postcards, for any holiday at any time of the year. Even when it says no holiday cards, unless your partner says it's ok. I'm saying it's OK!!
Any postage stamps on or off paper. Please make sure they are NOT damaged. Ripped corners, creases, die from coloured paper, or holes in the stamps are not collectable. If you take them from your envelopes, carefully cut about a half inch all around the stamp so it's not damaged.
It's fantastic when my swap partner uses postage stamps on their mail. Especially nice new stamps. I thank you all. Of course I know that's not always easy to do, so don't go out of your way for stamps. I appreciate every swap I get no matter what is on the envelope.
When I send stamps to a person, I try never to put their own countrys' stamps into the lot. So if possible, I would rather not get any Canadian stamps unless they are face value of $1.00 or more.
I like scrapbook and card making supplies. Including, shapes cut from punches, or die cuts.
Dies for cuttlebug
Embossing folders for Cuttlebug
Or if you have a cuttlebug, and want to emboss a few sheets of paper with something interesting. That would be nice too.
Punches any size. I've seen some really cute little ones, like butterflies, and flowers.
Lace, Ribbon
Stickers
Stick on trims, and "bling"
Adhesives, glue dots
Embossing powders
Flocking powder, OTHER then red and white.
Any glitter OTHER then red green blue silver and gold. I have a lot of those colours now.
Glitter glue
Rubber stamps
Plain note cards with envelopes. Any colour
Tri fold cards with openings for photos or such. Any colour
Vellum, and card stock
Coloured pencils
Quilling paper strips, all colours and widths
Fridge magnets.
Lapel Pins
And anything related to the British shows Coronation Street and Emmerdale. They are my favourite shows.
Vanilla fragrances
Musk fragrances
Scented candles. Any scent.
Earrings for pierced ears. Any kind, colour or shape. Dollar store ones are great.
Tiny tea sets. Teapot can't be anymore then about 1 inch tall or so. I've found a few in the dollar stores as well.
Christmas tree ornaments, especially something unique to your own country.
Thanks to the wonderful swaps, I am now getting a great supply of stamps and ink. I am having so much fun with them.
I have now seen coloured "chalks" that can be used so they would be nice as well.
I am trying to get a supply of chipboard or similar die cuts, of alphabets, words or phrases. Sizes to fit ATC's and inches. Any colour, script is ok.
Any interesting die cut shapes would be nice too. Made from punches, cuttlebug etc. They don't have to be large or fancy, just whatever you think would be nice.
I've also started doing inchies. They are so much fun. I finally found a one inch punch that works wonders.
I like all tea, coffee , single serving drink mixes. T-cups for the Tassimo coffee maker. (any drink, in any flavour) Any type of candy or chocolate is great. Even white chocolate.
One exception for all though is that I don't like black licorice flavour. No one in my family does, so if I get anything licorice it will probably be wasted, unless I can use it for another swap.
I don't have any allergies, so anything with nuts is ok. I do love hazelnut and almond flavours in chocolate. I like tangy hard candies.
I also like all types of chewing gum. Minty flavours are my favourite.
I have decided to try my hand at making my own beads from Fimo clay. Is there anyone here who has tried it? I would love some ideas. I don't have the clay yet, but hopefully will get some soon.
I have seen some interesting styles of bead instructions and some of them look quite simple for beginners.
I can't wait to try it out.
