July 15, 2024 - I will be slowing down on swaps that I sign up for a little bit as I am 7 months pregnant now and am due beginning of Oct. Nesting is becoming real! Especially with 2 other small children I'm feeling the need to throw everything out haha.
May 2024 - Can’t believe I’m only finding out about this site now!
I am a stay at home mom with baby #3 coming soon! I am a massage therapist and craniosacral therapist and I find the human body absolutely amazing. I will be homeschooling my children, and our family’s ultimate goal is to be as food independent as we can and to live harmonious with the natural world.
Our family celebrates with the wheel of the year so anything related and the different turning points of the year in relation to the earth are appreciated here!
Recently got baby chicks again since a fox ate all our chickens over the winter :(
I grew up where my mom frequently took us hiking and often made special meals for the seasons and candle lit dinners. I started gathering with women in sacred space when I was about 20 and it completely changed my life. I believe in manifestation, and the power of thought. The wording we choose to use is very powerful. I do believe Love is the true source of all healing, and that we each have the power to heal our own bodies, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
I believe that food and plants are medicine and I use and respect them as such. I love herbal tea and coffee with cocao. I tend to be more introverted and spending time outside in the garden, in the woods or near rushing water make me feel whole. Frogs and toads are my spirit animal and have been as long as I can remember.
Although I have collected some beautiful tarot and oracle decks, the only one that really speaks to me is Brian Frouds Faierie Oracle. Faeries are real and they are funny mischievous beings.
In 2021 I taught myself have to use a sewing machine and quilt with lots of help from YouTube when I was 8 month pregnant with baby #2. I love all kinds of crafts but quilting seems to be the one for me! I really enjoy FPP! I haven’t honed in on my own personal quilty aesthetic yet but I love clean modern styles better than the more “old fashioned” style. Think clean vs busy! I love jewel tones, purple, greens, blues, low volume, bright colors that contrast. I also really enjoy embroidery. I’ve made lots of botanical/floral embroidered felt crowns for children.
I love thrifting. I believe there’s no reason to pay full price for anything. I always seem to find what I need from a thrift store! I love finding solid colored cotton sheets to use in my quilting.
I feel I am earthy all the way around. I tend to feel very grounded most of the time and don’t get stressed out easily. I love earthy scents (sandlewood, vanilla, lavender, patchouli&grapefruit). I love earthy colors, but also jewel tones and colors that remind me of the sun! I love earthy esthetics or cottage core if you will (ferns, mushrooms, crystals/rocks, wildflowers, deep woods, faeries, the moon) Anything botanical.
I like relaxing video games, animal crossing is my favorite.
I love to sit in the grass and just be.
Recently got a celebration ring so working on collecting all kinds of ornaments for it! Also collect small wooden carved statues or brass ones(although I know they are heavy to ship). I love pregnant statues, especially any relating to the earth.
I love all kinds of imagery of the sun or moon. Whimsical faerie garden images or items, eyes, greenman faces, goddess statues.
I collect mushrooms in all forms. Ceramic and vintage images are my favorite.
I love tattoos, I have lots (stopped counting) and plan to have more done when I’m done having children.
I love watercolor art. Although I’m not good at it, I would appreciate any tips and tricks so I can get better!
I don't wear much jewelry, but when I do it's stuff I never change. I love ankle bracelets. I have gauged ears so I collect fun plugs - size 7/8"(22mm)
Dislikes: shells (I’m allergic to raw shell fish), bible verses, the color orange by its self, cigarette smoke (i do like quality incense!), vintage fabric, plaid, things with logos and corny sayings (ie: live, laugh love)
