***I'll be out of commission for a while -- recovering from surgery to fix a broken wrist. Hope to be back in action in about 6 weeks π’ *************************************************.
I was born & raised in Pittsburgh. Married for 39 years (to the same guy:) Work full-time for a major university. Major sports fan -- Steelers, Pirates, Penguins -- of course! Really no favorite color (unless you count black & gold!). No kids, one black cat.
Love the outdoors, we have lots of critters that visit our backyard -- deer, raccoons, possums, squirrels, lots of birds. I feed the birds all year because I love to watch & listen to them. Love music & reading.
Discovered pocket letters and other paper crafting ideas on youtube and decided I would like to reach out and try it.
Love to read about American history and visit Revolutionary and Civil War battle sights. Love classic rock, cheesy "B" movies from the 50's & 60's.
No known allergies, prefer tea over coffee, definitely Pepsi. Couple of favorites: chocolate cake with chocolate icing, tacos, strawberries, everything Autumn.
My email if anyone's interested: pj@andrew.cmu.edu
Classic Rock: The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, James Taylor
To Kill a Mockingbird, Juicy romance novels, Anything by STEVE BERRY, Lee Child, James Patterson
Old movies, especially old black & white film noir. I especially like old Dana Andews movies, for example: The Best Years of our Lives, Laura. I can watch old John Wayne westerns over and over again, for example: Rio Bravo, Chisum, El Dorado.
There's currently nothing on that I watch regularly. I think most TV stinks. Will watch NCIS or NCIS-New Orleans if I think of it. Will watch old reruns on METV: Gunsmoke, The Rifleman, Laramie. Yes, I love old westerns.
Papercrafting, scrapbooking. ATCs. Pocketletters. Colors: Teal, turquoise, purple. Steampunk. Victoriana & vintage themes.
"LIKES" in general: HANDMADE ITEMS: I go to a lot of craft shows & arts festivals, especially in the fall. AUTUMN. Love this time of year. Football season starting again. Weather cooling off, leaves changing color, time to get out the sweaters & prepare for the coming holidays. PITTSBURGH SPORTS. I can spend all day Sunday watching football, not just the Steelers.
LOVES: MY CAT PEPPER. Pepper is a black cat and the most affectionate cat we've ever had -- a real lovebug. He follows us around and must be in the same room we are. He wants to be held all the time and will reach up with his paws to be picked up.
MY HUSBAND. We've been married for 39 years and still like being with each other.
OUR VETERANS. My husband is a Vietnam vet. His father landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day.
Strong perfumes. Most pastel colors, although I do like vintage & Victorian themes.
