Hi, I am Paula. I am from Germany and live right by the river Rhine. I don't know if you have ever heard of Düsseldorf, but we do have a big airport which, once upon a time before Corona, was the starting point to my adventures. I really love travelling but right now I am stuck at home so I'd like to travel through snail mail. Other than an airport we are famous for our beer, which, if you know the October fest, is served in extremely small glasses. I don't really go to our old town these days, but its something I really enjoy. I like making crafts, journaling, and everything vintage. Apparently I decorated my room in dark academia before I knew it was a thing. I love music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, these days I am especially listening to German "Schlager" from the 40s to 60s. I am student, but I don't have anymore classes, I just have to write a couple of essays and my bachelor thesis. Currently I am doing my practical semester (is it called like that?) for another month and I hope I don't have to call it quits because of that virus. I have lived in East Africa for a while, so if you are interested in learning about that part of the world, let me know. My username is Swahili and means "salad", I really do like salad. Also I am really trying to learn French but somehow I always mix it up in my head with Spanish and Italian (I had Latin in middle school, maybe that's where the confusion is coming from).

Do you know Babylon Berlin? It is quite a good show, what I am watching right now. Harry Potter fan since the beginning and I have a thing for teen movies and series. Always up for some good true crime show or podcast. We have a few good ones here in Germany, maybe you know some good, English speaking true crime programmes?
