Hi, my name is Katie. I live in Michigan. I have been a long time crafter and discovered junk journaling & bullet journaling durring the shut down. It has been a great way to use up my long ignored scrap-booking stash and helps me relax after work. I enjoy finding creative ways to upcycle old books and non traditional crafting items. And bullet journaling helps keep me organized and on track with my goals while giving me a chance to draw and doodle. Recently I have been trying some watercolor painting and gel plate printing as well. My other hobbies include weaving, cooking, gardening, and yoga. I especially like cooking healthy meals from the vegitables that I grow.
I also enjoy traveling, but don't get to do it very often. I just went on the Colorado yoga retreat that I had been looking forward to for a while. So I'm brainstorming my next trip. I hope to eventually visit every state in the US. I enjoy visiting National parks when I travel. I've been wanting to check out Diamond Crater state park. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to add them to you swap note. I spent a semester after college studing art and French in Paris, but I still don't speak French. It is still a skill I would love to learn.
I joined this forum as a way to connect with other crafters and swap some happy mail. I'm not interested in swapping tea or food. I am loving reading peoples profiles and trying to find or create things that I think they will like. I also enjoy working the contents and envelopes from swaps I recieved into my junk journal. A nicley decorated envelope often makes it into the signatures of my journals.
There are a few swaps that I have sent but have not been rated. I understand that stuff happens. Things get lost, people get busy. If you did not receive my swap, please let me know, I am always happy to resend.

I tend to watch a lot of nature or cooking shows. I don't really watch any new series, I used to love Project Runway and What not to wear. Now I watch a lot of YouTube. Some of my favorite channels are CHACHA NOTE asmr, Gaile Agostinelli, 49Dragonflies, Luise Heinzl, Good Eatings, Mic the Vegan, Plant Based Bride, Pick up Limes, Shayda Campbell, Tiny Acorn, Wheezywaiter, Yoga with Adrienne. I am recently addicted to Antscanada giant rainforest vivarium series.
I guess that just shows that I like to learn new thing about my interests.
My current junk journals are very scrappy, I'm trying to use up things that have been hanging around too long. I also dabble in an "Into the forest" themed art journal, where I am exploring more mixed media. I stared "deep thoughts in deep space" journal. I'm reading a book for work about Prosess from the library of books for EOS. But I hope to be done with that soon and moving on to a stack of fiction I recently thrfted. One looks like a historical mystery that takes place near where I live that I am excited to get into.
Cottage Garden Theme - it's cottagecore garden, flowers and herbs, I might even sneak in the occational vegitable plant if it looks good in the garden design. In garden planning there is a theory to put the things you would use in your home, planted closest to your house. So your herb garden just outside your kitchen. In my dreams I have culinary and medicinal herbs and flowers just outside my kitchen so I can pick them and bring them in to brighten my food and my decor. Butterflies, bees, humming birds, and rabbits would be frequent visitors.

Vintage Ephemera -- Thanks for the amazing package of vintage ephemera. Loved going through it and the postcards are a welcome addition to my collection.
Your wonderful assortment of vintage ephemera has arrived - the TV guide alone will keep me busy for hours, and I was wondering what car I'd use for a swap I've joined! Love the pennies, too - thanks for wanting to share this bounty of miscellaniesโฃ๏ธ
Thank you for the amazing RAK of vintage ephemera from your uncle - so many treasures in this envelope for sure. The Steve Allen TV guide, the postcards, the pennies, the map (wow, that's an old one!) - wow, thank you thank you, you made my day! :)
Oh Katie - I'm having so much fun with your vintage ephemera RAK. A Dinah Shore TV Guide??? I'm dating myself but this sure brings back memories!! I can't believe your Uncle saved all this wonderful ephemera and thank you so much for sharing these treasures. Thank you for your two cents too!!
Thank you so much for the lovely and generous box of yarn! I canโt wait to throw some on the needles and knit!
Hi Katie :) If you ever want to swap ATCs in a private swap just send me a PM. I can set up a trade for any date we want and choose ourselves a theme or just make the best we can.
