I am a writer and a crafter. I am a photographer and an artist.Mostly, I am a mother of 7 and a wife of a wonderful husband. Catholic Christian, former homeschooling mom (for 12 years), grandmother of 5; my own children range in ages from 30 - 6.

**Writer:I write a weekly column of local happenings called Newport Notebook in The Compass

**Art: The line between my art and craft is blurred; My quilts are sometimes art, my photos are art, you see what I mean...?

**Mother: I have 3 sons and 4 daughters

**Wife: Married to the same father of all my kids for 33+ years.

ATC swaps are one of the fun things I do for myself, and I have had many successfully completed.

My clothing colors are jewel tones -- turquoise, deep and rich purples, also black and red!

My crafting colors are primaries and brights, though I like naturals, too.

I love fibers, paper, paper and more paper!

I also LOVE botanical prints. Other motifs I love are fruits, Mother and child,

Am open to most topics if handled respectfully, humor is fine. No alternative spiritualities, please!

I love Paper craft

-- cardmaking, collage, envelopes.

I enjoy sewing, quilting, clothing making, bags/totes, table runners and table centerpieces; Christmas items like stocking and wallhangings.

Still Life photography is where I have focused my art skills. I have exhibited locally and have postcards and greeting cards with my work on them.

My main problem is that I can't settle on one area of craft. I jump around, and eventually I get quite good at some of them, others I eventually give up on.

Favorite writer is John Steinbeck. A favorite book I would think everyone would like is "The Open Door: When writers first learned to read".

As for tv-- PBS -- Antiqes Roadshow and American Experience

I would like to receive serious (not cutesy) Christian clip art and stickers. Catholic is great. Anything about Our Lady of Guadalupe is great! In fact, any mother/child; Blessed Mother, Virgin Mary, items are welcome.

I like vintage, but not necessarily kitsch. Maps, artwork, yours, signed is great. Beer coaster, esp. advertising local brews!

Nature: As mentioned above, botanical prints, fruit prints; seeds, nuts and natural items from your area; pressed leaves; birds feathers;

Papers: pages from foreign language books, used postage stamps, especially foreign, interesting food packaging. Also that oriental paper with silk fibres running through it (can't think of what it's called right now)

Motifs I like: hearts, mother and child,

Textiles: interesting fibers, souvenior dishtowel/tea towel from your area, fat quarters of fabric/cotton, floral, solid, patterned, child prints all ok -- don't really like vintage that much;ribbon.

Books I'd enjoy: nature id books, most/many types of books -- please ask :-), craft books

Recipes: Low points WW friendly, ways to hide veggies so my 5 year old will get some nutrition.

A card on my birthday with a personal message.

I love bags, large and small; containers, boxes, would love to receive a matchbox or a whimsey jar -- never had either...

Craft Materials: have you got an extra sheet of shrink plastic? or iron-on printer paper? other specialty printer papers/craft papers?

Random: One or a few handpainted Mexican tiles would be great. Or a (small) handful of Milagros
