Hi! My name is Anaïs. I'm 25 years old. I come from Belgium. I live in Jurbise with my boyfriend. We've been together for 7 years. It's on the countryside, but not far from the city. I'm an English and Dutch teacher in secondary school. My pupils are from 12 to 18 years old. I love my job and I try to stay a young and an interesting teacher.

I also love music! I'm a huge music listener. I don't have any favourite because I like a bit of everything, except rap and hardcore.

My favourite artists are Lady Gaga, Utada Hikaru, Lana Del Rey, Archive, Queen, Ghinzu, Mika, Black Eyed Peas, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Robbie Williams, Sia, Massive Attack, Shakira, Lykke Li, M.I.A., Block Party, Florence + the Machine, MGMT, the Ting Tings, ...

I love reading too! My favourite books are detective stories, mysteries, ... I like Harlan Coben's! I fell in love with Swedish authors such as Lars Kepler, Stieg Larsson, ... I enjoy reading mangas: seinen en shojo.

My weaknesses are TV series and dramas. I love girly stories such as Gossip Girl or Pretty Little Liars. But I also enjoy watching Dr House, CSI, Six Feet Under... I like watching J-dramas! My favourite are "Last Friends" - "Hana Yori Dango" - "Life" ...

I create some polymer clay stuffs, such as keychains, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, phone straps, ...

A bit more about my hobbies! I love penpalling, dancing, reading, movies, music, cooking, ... Penpalling is been part of my life since I was 10. I started by exchanging cards and pictures of the Spice Girls. Then I joined some penpal forums. I've got about 15 penpals from France, Korea, Japan, ... I love sending colourful letters! I consider my penfriends as real friends. I don't like short letters, I prefer long ones full of questions, stories, ... I've been swapping for 3 or 4 years. I love the excitement of sending your package! I always try to do my best when preparing them. You can see some pictures of them on my blog! Oh yeah, one thing about me: I'm collecting objects with maneki neko's on them: statues, bracelets, phone straps, keychains, ... I love them!!!

Bellydancing is my huge passion! I've been practicing it for 9 or 10 years now! I started in a group with my mum. I'm still going to the lessons but I'm also giving some shows. I'm creating choregraphies with my best friend and then we sell our show for weddings, oriental "dinners", ...

I love getting lots of things in swaps. - My favourite colours are: red, black, grey, pink, purple and green.

• Plushies and handmade stuffs.

• Polymer Clay stuffs.

• Mangas or fashion magazines in English/Japanese.

• Oriental dance DVD's

• Shower gel, nail polish, hairclips, badges, ...

• Japanese sweets: Pocky, Hi-Chew, ...

I don't like getting:

• Gummy and jelly candies!

• Scrapbooking stuffs.

• Cigarette smelly stuffs! I swear ... I've already got a plushie and a t-shirt smelling tobacco.

• Ashtray or lighters. A girl sent me a horrible ashtray she probably stole in a hotel or pub. Not very pleasant!

• Black licorice.

• Lip gloss.

• Things related to religion. I'm an atheist. So, I hope you won't mind if I'm not interested in those things.

I'd like to learn a lot about other cultures and I enjoy swapping with people from all over the world.
