This swap is for one (1) postcard to one (1) partner. Postcard is sender's choice -- anything storebought is fine as long as it is inoffensive, sturdy, and at least 4" x 6".

On the back of the postcard, where you typically just write a message and the address, you will be adding deco! Here are examples of the type of coverage expected. Much of this deco would be too edgy for this swap, but hopefully you get the picture.

Please pick at least 5 of the following to decorate the back of your card:

• a border

• washi tape (if used as border, it doesn't count again)

• one large sticker or 3 small stickers

• a rubber stamped image

• a quote in hand lettering (that means not in your regular handwriting, make it look interesting)

• ephemera, magazine cutouts, pieces of book pages, embellishments (this is one category)

• a hand drawn image (lettering doesn't count)

• incorporating the address into deco (written on interesting scrap, border around the address, recipient name in fun lettering, etc)

Please use at least 5 colors. Of course, the recipient's address should also be correctly placed on the card, with adequate room for postage. Your username and the swap name should be visible and clear somewhere in the message section. I recommend affixing a return address label as well. You can always look at examples again if you want to see different examples.

ALL elements must be glued down securely. I recommend a good glue stick like Elmer's Craft Bond, then a layer of Mod Podge or two or three or four or five. You may send naked, but please do so with caution. Plastic sleeves recommended for all cards. Forever stamps or non-machinable stamps recommended for all cards (put on outside of plastic sleeve, no one ever explains this stuff!). Check with your partner if you want to use an envelope, many people are fine with this now.

No newbies, no unexplained 1's or 3's, I'll ban you if I don't like you. I'll run an international version at some point. Please avoid common dislikes/fears/do-not-sends for the card image.
