Description:

This is going to be a two part swap.

  • Part 1: Decorated Envelope (The Trick). You will decorate a handmade or store bought envelope in which the second part of this swap will be mailed. The "trick" to the envelope is that its decor must be inspired by one of the many obscure holidays or special days listed here: Bizarre , Wacky and Unique Holidays. You may choose any day from any month. The weirder, the better (and more fun for everyone).

  • Part 2: Halloween ATC (The Treat). The Halloween styling of your ATC is up to you. You can go vintage, spooky, cute or even Day of the Dead/Día de los Muertos.

The Rules

  • Both envelope and ATC need to incorporate collage to some extent. You may combine other media with your collage as well. Paint, ink, cloth, stitching, etc.
  • Envelope size is up to you. Obviously it needs to be a mailable size and is going to be used to mail an ATC, so 4"x6" would be reasonable, but you may go larger if you wish.
  • On the outside of the envelope, you must include a greeting for the "holiday" you chose as your inspiration; e.g., "Happy Cheesecake Day!"
  • Standard rules apply for the ATC: handmade by you, 2½"x3½", sturdy backing with your info on back.

Any questions? Ask below or PM me. Have fun!

Look what I found. A website about holidays and it has a section on Bizarre and Unique. There's at least one for every day!
