Description:

This is the second round of ATC Background Papers swaps. Please credit the first round to @sarachung . If this one is a hit, then we'll go for three or more!

Please note there are separate USA and International swaps. This is the USA swap. Please feel free to join both if you are able.

This swap is for 25 ATC-sized background papers to 1 partner. ATC background papers are 2.5 by 3.5 inches, and should be of interesting pattern. All 25 backgrounds MUST be different. This is NOT a swap for ATC "blanks," sturdy backings, or labels, but the interesting backgrounds adhered to a sturdy back.

Paper Examples: - Origami or rice paper - Dictionaries and other reference books - Maps, atlases, travel brochures - Junk mail, insides of envelopes - Patterned scrapbooking paper - Solid color scrapbooking paper that is glittery, metallic, textured, etc. - Old ephemera of large size: ledgers, bingo cards, library cards - Stationery, note cards, greeting cards - Architectural drawings, blueprints, floorplans - Old books, children's books - Old letters, sheet music - Papers in another language - Handmade or woven paper - Paper that has been decorated by you: sewn in some way, rubber-stamped, pieced together, embossed, using another medium!

Do Not Send: - Plain or solid colored cardstock - Regular notebook paper - Ads or newspaper clippings - Paper that is in bad shape (badly wrinkled, torn, dirty, etc.) - Digital images printed onto copy paper using an inkjet printer.

This swap is senderÒ€ℒs choice, although it is always nice to read your partner's profile first. Please send your stack of papers in some type of plastic baggie or plastic wrap, to protect them from moisture/humidity. A note with the swap name and your user name will make it easier to rate you.

To Sum Up: - Sender's Choice! - 25 DIFFERENT pieces of paper (all different Γ’β‚¬β€œ no repeats) - Paper must be cut to 2.5Ò€ x 3.5Ò€ (please cut accurately) - No plain paper (or anything else listed to not send) - Wrap your backgrounds, include a note - Send by the swap deadline - For hearts, send more than 25 or send other extras

This swap is open to all swappers with a rating of 4.9 or above (NEWBIES WELCOME! with a well-filled out profile) Γ’β‚¬β€œ no recent 1Ò€ℒs or 3Ò€ℒs. I will check profiles before assigning partners, and will angel if necessary.

Just to clarify...we are to send 25 ATC "backgrounds" already adhered to a sturdy back...made from chipboard or card stock?

lttleetoile 08/15/2011 #

No, just the background paper, not the sturdy back also.

So shouldn't the papers be a little larger than the ATC's so that it is easier to adhere it to card stock? I always like to have extra around the edges to put in place without a problem and then trim it up.

Mine will have the backing, I always do that. I find it easier to just go ahead and mount the paper before I cut it to size. I hope no one has a problem with that.

@craftygal87 and @createdbywendy I think you should both ask your partners first if they prefer one way or the other. As the swap says, the papers should by ATC size with no backing. For example, Wendy, sometimes I use ATC backgrounds for things other than ATCs, and would be prevented from doing so if the backing was already on there. CraftyGal, if your partner likes them cut to perfect size, you'd be creating work for them by not cutting them properly yourself. I'll allow both your variations, but ONLY IF you ask your partner and they agree. Otherwise, it's up to your partner on how to rate you.

ok, will do

count me out...I find it easier to have larger papers. I would like to participate in an ATC swap where everything is not cut right to size...just a bunch of loose papers and embellishments and backings. Have fun!

Hello there. I'm not sure where we are in the partner assigning process - but I just went in and changed my mailing address. I won't get mail sent to the old address, so wanted to be sure you knew I'd changed it. Thanks! Carlyn
