Description:

There is no excuse for sending naked envelopes. A naked envelope is one that is plain white or another plain color, with the just an address written on it. How boring! There are lots of no-cost or inexpensive things can be done to jazz up the envelopes we send to our partners, from making them by hand with decorative paper, to taking a plain one and drawing on it, coloring it, collaging it, adding fun labels, stamping it, etc.

For each of your 2 partners, you will:

  • Make a list of 5 different ideas of how to decorate envelopes. Do some searches on the Web for "decorative envelopes," "envelope fun," etc. You may already have some fun ideas of your own.

  • Choose one of the ideas and use it to jazz up an envelope for your partner to use.

  • Put the list of 5 ideas and the jazzed up envelope into an outer mailing envelope that you have also jazzed up (this will be the one you send the swap in).

  • Lastly, you will include a note with the name of the swap, your name, and hopefully a little about how you enjoyed the swap and/or your day.

Here is one idea to get your creative brain thinking of more: Draw fun swirls all over the envelope. Use highlighters to add different color to your swirls.

Be creative & have fun!
