Description:

This is for people who love to cook, and who do it often!!!

IF YOU JOINED US FOR ANY OF THE PREVIOUS SWAPS IN THIS SERIES then use the notebook you have already recieved.

IF YOU'RE NEW TO THESE SWAPS then you will need to buy some type of journal or notebook (I'll be using a composition notebook! They work great for this).

On the first page you will write a short introduction, along with your profile name and your address.

On the second page you'll start adding recipes that you've cooked over the three week period (if you don't think that's enough time, let me know). Everyone will add 10 recipes. Please start each recipe on a new page!

You can do it however you like: Cut and paste, writing it out, however.

Please be sure to include your thoughts on the recipe (and pictures if you'd like). Was it the first time you cooked it? Is it a tried and true favorite of yours? Does everyone in your family like it? Did it turn out the way it was supposed to? Things like that.

When you have your 10 recipes finished, you'll ship the notebook to your swap partner.

This is a swap series. On the next round, you will add an intro page (with all the above listed info) and 10 recipes to the notebook you received in this swap, or (if you're just starting with us) you'll buy a new notebook and join in!

Be sure to jazz up the notebook a little. Add your personal touches to each recipe you receive. And be sure to write down any comments on any of the recipes you try while you have the notebook!

If you fill the last page of a notebook then you will ship it to the next person (if there's not 10 pages left to write on, then just do as many as you can). If you're the one who RECEIVES a FULL notebook, then you can keep it and buy a new one to start the swap with.

The goal is for everyone to stick with this swap long enough to receive a full notebook.

Rules: You must have at least a 4.8 to join. This is a USA and Canada only swap. You must have at least 5 type 3 swaps completed and have been rated for them. No recent and/or unexplained 1's of 3's. Send me a message before you join, to explain your 1's/3's. No recent no sends allowed. Please rate your partner. No FLAKERS ALLOWED. Do Not Flake. I will list all flakers.

If you do not meet these requirements, I will try to work with you. BUT YOU MUST SEND ME A MESSAGE PRIOR TO SIGNING UP FOR THE SWAP! If you do not, I will ban you.

Got my composition notebook! Am testing souffle recipes for a cookbook I'm writing (sweet and savory) so I'll start off with some of these recipes along with tips for success. Any special requests?

good luck making the souffle's. I have 2 teen age boys running around my house and they would fall because of them. i dont even make pound cakes if they are going to be home. they sound good though.

I wonder if it might help us to create in a list of recipes and page numbers in the back of the book, to help the final recipient mark off favorites in the future.

I was in Shared Cookbook #1...in the one I made for that one I did not think of making an index for it, but I did put a table for people to put the name in who helped make it. Now the one that I got in the swap was not "jazzed up" at all, so because of this I added an index in the front cover and put a table in the back to go on it the front cover one fills up. I typed in the recipes that had been put in the book so far, page they could be found on, and who put them in the book. What I have been doing also is making a copy of the recipes that I put in so that who ever gets it from me has a copy of my recipes and a few extra ones to keep.

@kimberlym322 I am sorry that my cookbook was not "jazzed up" at all." I have been going through a whole lot, that happened after I had signed up for the swap. I didn't decorate the front cover because I thought it was really cute the way it was. I did decorate the inside cover, and I thought I did a good job doing it. I also added a tag to the book so people could mark a favorite recipe. I guess it's a good thing it's a shared cookbook, and you get to pass it on. I do think the index is a great idea.

I didn't sign up for #2 because of the several deaths that had happened in my family with in a 3 week time span. I did sign up for #2 and look forward to swapping with someone.

I mean I signed up for #3

I'm awfully sorry to ask this here, but I'm a bit lost... is there going to be another international version? I still have an unfinished cookbook lying around and I would like to send it on one day :)
