Description:

Who besides me loves fine incense? The burning of resins and special herbs is conducive to altered states of being, as well as relieving depression, preparing oneself for ritual, and purification and protection.

If you enjoy fine incense, lets do a swap. We live in different areas, so we have incense to share no doubt. Or perhaps you make your own loose incense, maybe even from local plants and resins!

If so, please join this swap.

We will each have a partner to swap one bag of loose or one package of high quality sticks (no Gonesh or Walmart brands), and no loose bulk sticks (the kind dipped in perfume oils)

If you have sensitivities to certain oils or resins, list in the comments :) If you are seeking particular resins or oils, list in the comments too, and you might get lucky!

I buy sticks on Ebay from a seller that uses essential oils only, are those ok to send? They burn for between 30 and 45 minutes and they really fill the room with the scent.

I don't have the supplies to make my own loose incense (live in a small town where the nearest Pagan shop was 85 miles away and has been shut down) so I would only send sticks.

And how many sticks is considered a package? I know I see 20 stick packs at different shops online, so is that what we're going by?

I'm sorry about all of the questions, I just want to make sure I do this right for everyone.

I would love to join, but have no "fine" sticks :( Unless Demonna minds sharing her Ebay seller!! ~lol~

I get my incense from the seller incensehut. They also have a website incensehut.net I think when I buy the box of 3000 sticks it's like 2 1/2 cents a stick that way. ANd they have I think over 60 scents.

if we make our own or buy individual quality made sticks, how many of each scent should be included? or how many total are you looking for? thanks.

No problems with the questions - for sticks, send at least 10 sticks, and a few varieties/scents, which should be wrapped in plastic or waxed paper individually and labeled.
The same for cones. For loose incense, make it enough for at least one or 2 burnings for each variety you add. I would say roughly 1 tsp per resin/blend. Labeled please :), with details on ingredients or brand names or where you bought it, please.

I hope that helps.

Also, @CajunLady Fred Soll sells singles of his sticks for $1 each. of course each of his sticks burns for at least 2 or 3X - so if anyone is sending Fred Soll, 1 stick per scent is good.
For my part, I will be sending a mixture.

I'm gonna drop from the swap because it was pointed out that I misread my incense's description on ebay. I thought it said essential oil, it says scented oils, and I don't want to send a product that would make anyone sick. If you're interested in a private swap let me know, but I am gonna pull out of this so I don't send something not to the swap's requirements.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion, Leslie
