EDIT: No Fuji instax mini for this swap. I'm sorry, but I'm not sure they would make it since they are so small.

Do postcards like the one pictured above really get through the mail system okay?

It's really beautiful and I'd love to join.. just concerned that it wouldn't work somehow!

@theanswerisseven

Yes :) I have sent many to penpals and they always arrive. You can also see the group on flickr I linked to with pictures sent from all over the world.

theanswerisseven 03/ 4/2011 #

Ah wow that group is great!

I have a Fuji instax mini - is this okay or too small to use?

If I do use the instax mini, would it be okay to write the address on the back like in some of the photos on that group? The white area is very small on the instax..

Sorry for asking so many questions!

@theanswerisseven

No mini for this swap, I'm sorry..I think they are too small to mail? I sent you an PM :)

I would love to participate in this, but don't currently meet the requirements since I just joined. Hopefully there will be another!

I just featured this swap on the Swap-bot blog here. Thanks for hosting such a cool swap!

Is there any way to make a Polaroid without actually.. having the camera? I love the idea, but I own no such device..

OverMoon 03/15/2011 #

Jester777:

I'm not actually sure if its possible. I think I heard of someone creating a pinhole camera and then using instant film in it, but I don't know how it's done and then you have to make the pinhole camera.

If you want, you can also send an older instant photo. :) Sometimes they can be found in secondhand shops.

took my picture for this swap with my polaroid camera on the first sunny day in ages!!

AndrewLips 03/22/2011 #

Wow, got such a funny look when I posted this today haha. The post lady who served me seemed like she didn't know what to do with it, where to put the stamps haha. but also curious, i think she waited for me to leave, she seemed like she wanted to show it to the other post office lady sitting next to her.

provadia 03/29/2011 #

@racheljohnson ~ I'm sure they'll be here any day now! You're only so far:)

I did a private swap with @katzoo since she didn't have the ratings for this swap & she just uploaded our polaroids on her flickr ! Check them out! Awesome swap!
