Hello Card Makers!!

It is time to make Christmas Cards. Wouldn't you like to be prepared this year and have some great handmade Christmas cards to send to your friends and family. It is never to early to start getting ready for Christmas.

You will make two (2) cards, one (1) for you and one(1) for your swap partner. The theme is Christmas and the design is your choice.

Use quality materials to construct your cards with at least two layers of cardstock. Embellishments are preferred but not required. Rubber stamping is nice but not required.

Be sure to include a short note to your partner explaining how you came up with your particular card. Swap is open to anyone with a completed profile. Be sure to sign the back of your card.

This is an international swap, you must be willing to mail overseas. By limiting the swap to one partner/card it should keep the postage fees to a minimum.

Remember to Rate your partners & coordinator after your card arrives.

I will be setting up a photo album so we can share our creations.

Happy Card making!! cj & nlgrudis

stupid question? are you including the card that the card is made of as a layer? can you have paper layers instead?

TerryF 02/10/2011 #

I am guessing she means "Use at least 2 layers of card stock on the front of the card to give it body." Most of us do this anyway when we layer the front with 2 colours for a framing effect. (In the above example, the card base is red and the second layer is the 2 larger white pieces. Adding the pot and flowers will give you 3 --- and maybe 4 or more --- layers.)

Thank you for that @TerryF I thought that was it,but just wanted to check.

TerryF you are absolutely correct about the layers. I just don't want someone folding a piece of paper in half putting a sticker on it and sending it off as a completed card. Let's get creative.

Look forward to swapping with you.
