Description:

When I make cards, sometimes the most obnoxious part is just cutting the cardstock to size and making an envelope. (It's not hard, but it's just not that fun, so I sometimes just feel over it.)

In this swap, I want all of you handy crafters out there to assemble a cute little card-making kit for each other.

The kit must include: -10 blank cards from good quality cardstock (At least 5 different colours). No more than 4 mini-cards, please.

-10 coordinating handmade envelopes, either diecut, from a template, or freehanded.

-5 to 10 embellishment-type extras: die cuts, stamped images (only good quality on good cardstock!), ribbons, nice stickers, glitter, deco tape, ephemera packs, cute charms, or other store-bought or handmade embellishments. They can be big or small, but try to include a variety of nice, quality extras here. Feel free to destash, but don't just send garbage.

-1 cute little box to store the kit in. It doesn't have to be fancy or expensive, and it can be store-bought or homemade. It just needs to be something cute to hold your supplies neatly and mindfully. :)

Remember, the point is to assemble a nice kit that you would love to receive in the mail.

Since this swap takes a fair bit of work and attention, I'm limiting this swap to people with no unexplained 3s, and no 1s. Newbies with well-filled out profiles are welcome to join by special request. I want only serious swappers here, but I do like to give newbs a chance to shine.

Also, because I'm allowing newbs, I will angel any swaps that don't come through. If you're willing to help me out with angelling, please let me know. :)

Happy Swapping!

Would an appropriate size quality gift bag be Ok or does it HAVE to be a box?

HappyEarthling 01/24/2011 #

Well, I would say that a box is better, because it makes for nicer storage, but if you contact your partner, and she doesn't mind, I have no objection!

I would love to do this but I'm signed up for a bunch of other card swaps right now.. Please run this swap again in a few weeks! :)

I love the idea of this swap. It will be nice to have craft materials from a different country.
