Maybe I'm just always trying to break or bend the rules, but this idea popped in my head, initially as an "is this okay? can i DO this?" question...

Of COURSE all ATCs must meet the sizing requirements...right? What if one were to clip a corner? Is it no longer an ATC? What if an edge were jagged (intentionally!)...or one attached a chimney to a roof-shaped cut? Catch my drift?

For this swap you will create 1 irregular ATC for 2 partners...creating 2 total. The ATC must still fit in a sleeve or those nifty baseball card pages. VERY simple on the guidelines, but please PM me if you have any questions at all. This can be our chance to break the rules!

ANY 1s or 3s please PM me. If you chose not to PM me, then I chose to drop you...This is senders choice.

hmmmm i've already come up with a cute idea for a card! well, at least I think it's cute anyway! :D Awesome idea btw

thanks- it was one of my random half-asleep-awesome-idea moments lol at least this time i didn't forget my good idea right away like usual!

Me me me me! I love this one.

bluemonkeymama 11/13/2010 #

Great idea! Putting it on watch for now. i hope you do more of these in case i don't have the time to join this one!

andannabegins 11/13/2010 #

probably will- i just dug out my jagged edge scissors to cut envies with and i think they'll work great for this too!

user2637 11/13/2010 #

I've been thinking about doing a swap like this too! I just hadn't found the time to host. Thanks for making this!

I'm guessing the width at the widest part must be 2.5" and the height at the tallest part must be 3.5" (or reverse those for 'landscape' atcs)?? So even an oval would work, yes?

andannabegins 11/13/2010 #

yep, @user2637 an oval would rock the socks off of this one... i even saw a butterfly shaped one in a photo that, at the tallest and widest was exact specs which i thought was nifty. it was gorgeous too! and you're welcome!! i'll probably try and host 1 per month if this one's a hit.

Cloverst 11/14/2010 #

Told you it would be popular ;) I had to join up..

Amigirl 11/16/2010 #

Hmmm..I want to join, but I want something to hang off the edge of the ATC. Would that make it not fit in the sleeve? Is there a way to do it and still be in the swap?

toothteri 11/16/2010 #

I have made lots or ATCs that were too 3D to fit in a sleeve without knowing that this was a bad thing. Is this a standard requirement for an ATC? I do not store mine in sleeves.

andannabegins 11/16/2010 #

@amigirl and @toothteri both are fine! this would be perfect for ATCs we think may not fit in a sleeve!!

misumisu22 11/18/2010 #

I think "burning" the edges with a match is a cool effect too

Just watching this swap right now but I've made ATCs with burnt edges and received a lot of compliments.

Cloverst 11/25/2010 #

Congrats you made the top 10! x
